The New Girl

It's the beginning of the 2 quarter of school. We just got back from fall break. I'm looking forward to going back to school today. When I get up I put a black tank top on a gray skirt and a gray sweater. I put on black flats and put my glasses on. I brush my hair and part it down the middle. Then I braid my hair on both sides. I grab my bag and walk down stairs. My brother sits at the table eating and staring at his phone. I go to the fridge and grab a bunch of grapes. I grab a bowl and wash them. When I'm done Caleb finally looks up. We don't look much alike. But that's not the only thing that's different between us. He's popular and I'm not. I'm smart and he's okay he more of a C average. I'm more of straight A's. There are many more differences between us. "Hey," he says. "Hi," I say back and sit down. We both eat in silence as usual. My phone goes off. It's will and he's out side, I put the rest of the grapes in the fridge. I grab my bag and go outside. I have a car but it's kinda fancy and I don't like drawing attention to myself so Will drives us to school. We sit in silence all the way to school. It wasn't an awkward silence which is good because I don't do well in awkward moments. When we get to school we go to a bench. I go through my bag and find a pen. I get my notebook out and and start drawing. I end up drawing Hello kitty. I close my notebook and look up. There's a bunch of people here now. I keep looking around then I see someone I've never seen before. I look at will and his nose is buried in a book. I nudge him. "hey who's she?" I ask him he looks up and look over to where I was looking. "know idea she must be new though," he says "must be," I say nodding then keep looking around. Then the new girl walks up to us. Will looks up and stares at her. "my name is Christina and I'm new here can you show me where the office is?" I look at will and he shrugs. "uh sure it's over here," I say getting up. we walk inside and I walk up to the office which is next to the entrance. I walk up to the front desk. "This is mrs Ray she'll help you will anything you need," I say "oh okay thanks," she says I nod and walk back outside. I sit with will and about 5 minutes later the bell rings. We get up and go our separate ways to class.
