Tryouts;
"Why do I have to come again?" Miranda asked as I dragged her down the hill and towards the quidditch pitch.
"Because...you're a supportive friend, remember? Just shut up and come on," I laughed.
Once we got to the pitches, we sat in the stands as we watched the tryouts. I was never a fan of quidditch, only due to the fear of heights I have always had since I was a child.
My friends, Alex and Wren, seem to love it a lot so I simply love to show them my support. Miranda on the other hand, she prefers to go to the library or sleep.
"Is that Ernie? I didn't know he was going to tryout," Miranda said in a shocked manner.
I looked to where she was pointing and I widened my eyes at her. "Maybe he's trying something new," I shrugged.
The tryouts begun and after thirty minutes later, they decided to take a break. "I'm going down to speak to Wren, will you be okay?" Miranda asked a sshe got up.
I nodded my head and took out my book as she skipped down to the pitch.
'Romeo and Juliet' my favourite novel. My parents bought me my first romance novel when I turned 14 but I never read it. This year I decided to give it a try.
So far so good, a muggleborn in my house pointed out how much she loves the book. She recommended I watch the movie but I was a bit confused on what that was.
Mental Note: Search in library what a movie is.
"Nice weather, is it not?" I looked up from my book to see Draco Malfoy sitting next to me.
"What do you want, Draco?" I asked as I looked at the boy, covering my eyes from the sun.
He sat down next to me and I moved a little. "Just checking in," he said.
I closes my book and faced him completely, bursting into laughter. "You're not checking in on me. You don't know me. You don't like me. I suggest you tell me what you really want or leave me be," I snapped.
"Fine. I want to invite you to the Slytherin's annual winter party," he said.
I stared at him for a few seconds before cocking a brow, "Huh?"
He rolled his eyes and took out a letter from his robes and handed it to me. "I thought Slytherins only?" I asked, taking the invite from him.
"No. We pick who can come," he bluntly said.
"I'm not the party type, Draco. I probably won't be there," I replied.
He scoffed as he turned his body to face me, "I really don't care, y/n. I invited you, if you want to come then come if you don't I won't fucking cry about it."
"Language!" I corrected him. I hated profound language.
He rolled his eyes and stood up, "I suggest you come. It's my invite to you. Bring one of your puffle friends too."
Just as I was about to answer, Alexander flew over and stared at Draco. "Is he bothering you, y/n?" He asked, glaring at the blonde.
"No, it's fine Alex. He was just leaving," I said as I looked back and forth between the two boys.
"Whatever. See you around, Monet," he smirked before turning his face to Alex, "Later Hufflepuff!"
As he went, Alex looked at me with a scowl. "What?" I questioned and he shook his head, "He's dangerous, be care-"
"Careful. Yeah, I know," I interrupted as I repeated his words.
He looked at me a little sadly but shook it off as his smile reappeared. "I'll see you after?" He asked and I nodded as I watched him fly back.

That evening, I was walking to my dorm when I accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh sorry, Hannah," I apologised quickly.
"No worries. Miranda is in our dorm if you want, I just saw her as I was leavinf," she said and I thanked her as I quickly walked past.
Hannah is an amazing girl. Me, Miranda and Hannah have been sharing a dorm since our first year and its always been a blast. She's so much fun to be around.
I walk into our dorm to see Miranda on the bed with her homework spread out. Her head snaps up in mt direction as she sees me enter.
"I see you're studying hard," I chuckled as I pointed to the mess on her bed.
She groaned, nodding her head as she stretched her legs out. "Where were you anyways?" She asked.
"Great Hall with Ginny. The boys were busy and you were most likely here," I explained and she nodded.
I went over to get dressed behind my bed. As I removed my jacket, I felt a letter in my pocket.
The invite.
I took out and realised I still haven't opened his bloody letter. Frustratingly, I rip it up and begin to read it.
Y/n Monet,
This is your invitation to the annual Slytherin Winter Party. The party shall be held on Saturday at 7 PM.
To gain access into our common room, simply knock three times and someone will open it for you. Hand them this letter and you shall enter.
You may bring a plus one but choose sensibly.
Malfoy.
I examined the paper for a while as I contemplated whether or not I should go. Letting out a sigh of defeat, I place it in my nightstand and go up to Miranda.
"You like parties right?" I asked her as I smiled widely, knowing fully well she did not.
She shook her head almost instantly and stared at me. "Well since you do, wanna come with me to a party?"
She stared at me before shaking her head and dropping her head back down. "Miranda, please. I don't want to go alone," I pleaded.
"No. Ask Wren or Alex," she said and I shook my head, "No. They won't let me and I really need to go."
She looked up finally and crossed her arms over her chest, "Whose party is it?"
"A friends? You'll love it, trust me," I smiled innocently as I flashes my lashes at her.
She stared at me before grunting frustratingly and giving in. "Fine."
I jumped onto jer bef and gave her a hug along with sloppy kisses on her cheek, "Thank you. Thank you. Ugh, I love you."
She wiped her face in disgust and waved me off. I honestly don't know why I want to go, I merely want to know why Draco Malfoy invited me of all people to a party.
Miranda will be beyond pissed once she realises it's a Slytherin party but she'll drop it. I just hope I don't regret this.
"Night, Miranda," I sang as I got under my bed.
"Good Night!"
