Sparks flew everywhere and Sophie was tempted to not stop. She almost chose not to. Almost. Well, after over twenty seconds but let's not dwell on that. She let go and stared at Keefe. He looked like he wanted to continue, but Sophie told herself that she just imagined it.
"Eeeeeeeeek!!" squealed Biana. "SHIP!"
Keefe cleared his throat and Dex looked really overprotective of his adoptive cousin. Of course Sophie was beet red and Keefe noticed that.
"Looks like Foster enjoyed it. Want some more?" Keefe puckered his lips and a small part of Sophie wanted to accept his invitation even though he was joking.
"Ugh!" She waved him off and Keefe faked hurt.
"Oh! Foster has rejected me! Not I must die in pain!" He toppled over and lay on the ground 'dead'.
"Anyways... let's go to bed, shall we?" suggested Sophie.
Keefe bolted straight up. "Uh, no way Foster! I didn't get to go yet!"
"Too bad!" replied Sophie and stuck out her tongue.
"Well, I'm with Sophie," announced Dex. "I refuse for this to be taken any further. Good night." He walked out of Sophie's room and probably asked Grady to take him home.
Keefe was about to crawl out of Sophie's window when she stopped him.
"Wait, Biana texted you my address right? You're not a creepy stalker?"
"Yep," confirmed Keefe. "Good night, fair maidens." He lowered himself and walked home.
"Okay, time for bed," announced Sophie.
"Wait, tell me about the kiss," said Biana, excitedly. "Any sparks? I bet there were."
Sophie blushed, confirming her friend's suspicions. "Good night."
"'Night," said Biana before getting her sleeping bag out.

That night she dreamt of dancing pineapples wearing ballet tutus and flying horses with Keefe's face on them.

The sweet scent of waffles and pancakes filled the air and Sophie woke up with a jolt. She yawned and saw that her friend was still unconscious, sleeping in her pink and purple sleeping bag. Sophie brushed her teeth and went downstairs. She saw Edaline making pancakes and waffles. And she also saw—Dex and Keefe?! They were in some sort of argument about breakfast foods.."Waffles look cooler than pancakes! They actually have a shape. And they have abs, unlike pancakes who are just flat and skinny!" said Keefe loudly.
"Pancakes were the original! Waffles are a copy!" argued Dex. "Pancakes were made in the 13th to 14th century! Waffles were made in the 17th century(This research was really quick so please correct me of my facts aren't correct)!"
"So? It's just few centuries! There are many of those! Waffles are just better than pancakes! They have a better texture," retorted Keefe.
"Waffles are hard. Pancakes are softer and fluffier!"
"Pancakes get soaked in maple syrup and get all squishyand stuff. At least waffles can survive longer than pancakes before getting all mushy and gross."
"I don't see why you could prefer waffles."
"I don't see how you could like pancakes more."
The two boys crossed their arms and turned away from each other, their heads high.
"You guys are hilarious," commented Sophie. "It's like a live-television show."
"Oh, hey Sophie!" greeted Dex waving at her.
"Hey Foster," said Keefe, smirking for no apparent reason.
"Hey guys. What are you twidiots doing at my house this early anyways?"
"He told me to come," said both boys, pointing at each other.
"You did Keefe!"
"No, you did Dex."
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
Sophie sighed, and walked over to her adoptive mother. "Good morning Edaline!"
"Good morning sweetie!" smiled Edaline.
Sophie hugged her mom and looked over to what Edaline was making. "Those look good!"
"What do you want to eat?" asked Edaline. "Waffles or pancakes?"
The boys who were still in their heated discussion suddenly looked at Sophie.
"Pancakes. Pancakes. Choose pancakes. Choose pancakes," muttered Dex.
"Waffles. Waffles. Waffles. Waffles," chanted Keefe.
Sophie raised an eyebrow and smiled at her guardian. "Bacon. And both please."
"Ugh!"
"Boo."
Keefe slumped back in his chair and Dex dropped his head onto the table.
"Boooo. Foster, you totally should have said waffles," moaned Keefe. He dragged his hands down his face dramatically.
"You should've (gone to Shiratorizawa. I don't think if you guy will get it but eh. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) joined the drama club Keefe. I don't think it's too late though," commented a new voice. "'Morning guys." Biana walked into the room, covering her mouth as she yawned. She pulled out a chair and sat down in between the two boys.
Keefe and Dex moved their chairs closer to the new female.
Biana raised an eyebrow and scooted away slowly.
"So," started Dex.
"Biana," continued Keefe.
"Waffles or pancakes?!" they both questioned her, loudly.
"Eh? Are those people of the male species I hear?" Grady walked into the room, rubbing his eyes. "Why are there guys here? And why are they making such a loud racket?"
"You're part of the male species as well," commented Sophie.
"G'morning kiddo," replied Grady.
"Good morning, Uncle Grady!" said Dex cheerfully.
"Oh! Good morning Dex," replied Grady.
"So, waffles or pancakes?" asked the strawberry-blond haired guy.
"Oh, pancakes," replied Grady. "They're the best!"
"No, waffles are!" interrupted Keefe.
"Why's that boy here?" asked Grady.
"Well, I agree with Keefe. Pancakes get too squishy," said Biana.
"Ugh. Boo," jeered Dex.
"Pancakes were the orginal," stated Grady.
"Yeah, Dex said that," said Keefe, nonchalantly.
"Just eat," sighed Sophie, hanging out the breakfast foods to everybody else. Waffles for Keefe and Biana, pancakes for Dex and Grady, both for her and Edaline.
Keefe and Dex had a stared down while eating their food and Biana ate like a dainty princess. Sophie, on the other hand did not eat like Biana. No, she wasn't a slob but there were many crumbs after she finished eating.
