Chapter 11

I left my on phone in my jacket pocket throughout the entire schoolday. It kept buzzing all first period. I was not going to look at it because my teacher kept glancing at me. It kind of made me feel uncomfortable. Lately, I've been getting strange stares in the hallway. And I get a lot of: "HEYYY KARSYN," with huge smiles and excited waves. Most of the glances I get are smiles and smirks... They are creepy. But I guess I'm just not used to it.

There was 10 minutes left to first period. My phone would NOT stop buzzing. 

"Ms. Baker, may I go to the restroom?" I ask, quickly raising my hand.

"Sure." 

I walked down the hallway to the bathroom. Walking in there, I pulled my phone out. 

429 Text Messages.... All from Calum. 

TEXT MESSAGE:

"Unlike some, people are in school," I send.

"Ahhh! It's alive. Good Morning, beautiful."

"Beautful?"

"Yes. You are very beautiful."

I felt a smile grow that could not be removed.  

"I have to go back to class. I'll text you after school."

I turned my phone off and put it back in my pocket. As I was walking down the hall, D' Andra was walking toward me. 

"What are you smiling like a fool about?"

"I have to tell you at lunch"

D'Andra looked at me confused. I shook my head and walked about to class. 

Anything I did, I could not knock this smile off my face. I always found myself smiling. I couldn't help it. 

"What are you smiling at?" Jodi whispers over to me. 

"What?"

"You look like a wierdo. Stop smiling."

"You see here's the thing... I CANT!"

"Why??"

"Because---" I say loudly that everyone on the side of the room hears. 

I look around and continue a whisper: "---Calum was texting me, and he called me beautiful."

Jodi's eyes grew huge, and she began to smile. I then started blushing. 

"He's coming back in town this weekend, just so he can see me."

"Damn, that's a reason to smile like a fool"

"I know!!" 

Lizzie, sitting on the other side of Jodi shushes us.

"We need to tell you something at lunch, Liz," Jodi says. 

"About?"

"Calum Hood"

"Does anyone know why Karsyn was smiling like a fool?" D'Andra asks. 

"Where is she?" Blair asks.

"Probably in the bathroom texting bae," Jodi answers.

"What? Who's bae?" Paisley asks. 

"CALUM HOOD!" I say approaching everyone. 

"What?" Anna says confused. 

"Calum has been texting me all morning. He texted me like 500 times in biology. I had to go to the bathroom to check it. And so when I did, I texted him back. ANd he said: 'Good Morning, BEAUTIFUL!'"
