This is by far the longest chapter I have ever written. My thumb should be getting a job by now with how fast it worked. Lol jk

After many many death threats and insults thrown by her, Rey grew tired and above all, frustrated to his determined self in doing the task that she herself can do. And with that thought, she simply lay back down on the bed and let him do his work.

They grew silent after that, the only sound that surrounds them were the bustling footsteps outside the room, workers rushing here and there to assist a patient. Quite hectic. But the two reside here found the sound quite calming.

Biting her lip, Rey glanced down at Ben from her lying position. It was a funny sight actually. With his nose seeming a big longer than usual and a patch of excessive skin peeking from below his chin. Rey found herself smiling softly seeing his full luscious red lips pursed together into a familiar pout he always have. She can see her babies resemblances on his face. It was quite adorable. But the smile vanishes when she recalled what happened earlier, the two police officer and his angry yet demanding voice. Rey wanted to know what was the ruckus all about. Especially when he said "I don't want any more harm coming to them"

Placing her hands over her abdomen, Rey drummed her fingers over her stomach, signalling a nervous habit. She contemplated whether to ask him or not. Fearing he would ignore her or worse get mad at her. But she needed to know. The curiosity is eating her up.

Taking a deep nervous breath, Rey finally took the courage to ask him. "Who are you looking for?" The sudden voice made him look up at her from the task at hand, seeing her eyes peering at him from her lying position with curiosity in her bright hazel orbs.

Ben tensed slightly upon hearing her question to which the act didn't go unnoticed by her since she had been looking at him intently.

Ben knew damn well what she was talking about considering how she snooped on him and the officers conversation just now but he decided to lay low.

"No one" He decided to say.

A sound of a throat throttle came out of her, making Ben turn to her with an eyebrow raised in amusement. It's not every day you hear a woman snorting like a pig.

Rey sat up and put her hands on her hip while looking at him with disbelief, Rey taunted, "Do you expect me to believe that?"

Ben shook his head, his lip tilting upwards from the corners, "Well, I expect you to but seeing how you are, you're quite different"

Raising an eyebrow, Rey pushed away the comment, even though it makes her heart race and looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to talk. When he didn't, she drawled, "So..." dragging the words as if giving him a sort of signal to fill them in with his words.

Rey throws her hands up in the air in exasperation, a tired sigh left out of her lungs when he says nothing after that. She was tired of being in the dark.

"This seems like deja vu" Rey said, slouching with her long hair covering her face from his view. Her mind transferred back to how he wouldn't speak to her in his office the other day.

The slight tiredness and sadness in her tone makes him furrowed his eyebrows. Looking at her defeated figure, he felt bad. It's not like he doesn't want to tell her, it's just that he fears that this news will make her distanced herself from him more. And he didn't want that. But he must tell her this. She has every right to know this. With that thought, he blurted out, "I arrived early this morning because I made a promise to Lucas that I would be here when he awakes'' Hearing his deep husky voice snapped her head to him, eyebrows furrowing. How can she forget that? Lucas wouldn't stop rambling about him till it was past midnight that he finally succumbed to sleep.
