The Untold Story of The Green Ninja

PART 10 LLOYD

Lloyd saw a face in the darkness. Lord Garmadon. More faces. Pythor. Samukai. A stone warrior. A nindroid. The Overlord.

Willow.

The Overlord's laugh filled the air.

"Wherever there is light..." Lloyd saw himself casting a long shadow."There is shadow..." Willow appeared behind him, in his dark shadow."And inside shadow is the blackest of darkness." Willow's face turned, just enough for Lloyd to see a glowing purple eye. Someting painful peirced Lloyd's head. He clutched it and cried out.

"Now you know how it feels, Lloyd." Willow's voice said."You never understood me..." Lloyd looked up at her. She looked the same... Exept for her glowing eyes and Harsh scowl."And you never will..."

"Willow!" Lloyd's voice cried."Where are you going?"

"No where..."

"No... It's your mom, isn't it?"

"You don't get it! She's the only true family I have left!"

"But..."

"Lloyd!" Willow's voice echoed throgh his mind. Just before Lloyd opened his eyes, he saw Steel. Lloyd woke up in the dojo. Willow was shaking Hs shoulder violently. He sat up, rubbed his head and saw Kai, Cole, Willow and Jay around him.

"Are you alright?" Kai asked.

"No..." Lloyd said."I mean-- Yes..."

"Lloyd..." Cole exlcaimed."The truth."

"I... I've been having these wierd Nightmares and they won't stop. I-I..."

"Lloyd..." Willow said."Calm down... Follow me... I've had a lot of bad dreams in the past." Willow got up and Lloyd followed her into the hall.

"You're not telling me the whole truth, Lloyd."

Uh-oh...

"I know you're having Nightmares about... Me..." She said softly.

"What? How'd you figure that out?"

"I didn't. Steel told me."

"Willow... Ah, nevermind."

"What?"

"It's just... I saw you in my shadow and the Overlord said "In shadow... there is the blackest of darkness." Weird stuff like that."

"And...?"

"Well... Do you have powers, like us?"

"Don't you think I would tell you right away if I had elemental powers?" She exclaimed, looking a little ticked.

"Well yes but..."

"You think I would hide secrets from you? Well... Even if I was, It'd probably be for a good reason!"

"So... You are keeping secrets from me?"

"No! Ugh!"

Lloyd sighed.

"Willow... You can tell me anything. Please."

"I..." She lowered her voice."I do have elemental powers." She explains the whole "elemental masters" thing. (I'm sorry. I'm really lazy and tired.)

"Garmadon and Wu are teaching me to control myself in the dark arts. But... It doesn't feel right."

"What doesn't?"

"Being taught about darkness when one of my best friends is the golden ninja."

"Oh..."

"Lloyd?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't let those nightmares change your trust in me, okay?"

"Okay." He smiled and they walked back into the room. Lloyd needed to stop lying to Willow. Those dreams were changing his trust in Willow... And it's... scaring him. Willow could be dangerous when she masters the element of darkness. What if she never learns to control it? What if she bertas him?

What if there were no more "What ifs"?

Steel.

In person. kind of.

Can I trust Willow?

That's a choice you're going to have to make yourself. Your trust in her belongs to you. Don't forget that.

Steel. I barely even know you, and yet you've given me some of the best advice ever.

Steel laughs.

"Aah!" Willow clutched her head. She cried out again."What's happening?"

"Willow!" Kai exclaimed with Lloyd.

What's happening?

I'm not sure... Wait. It's...She's... Being... Being corrupted!

What?!

Someone triggered the darkness in her heart, forcing her to turn evil!! Wait! He anger is goin down.

"No." Willow shouted and she released her head."I have to fight it. I won't be kept in a cage anymore..."

"Willow..."

"Lloyd... Guys... I have to go."

"Where are you going?"

"Nowhere... Just away from here... I have to get away from you four. To protect you." She ran out the door.

"Willow!" Kai, Lloyd, Cole, and Jay cried, rushing to the dark and wet streets. It was pouring.

"I'll lead the controllers away from you! They'll follow me and leave you alone!"

"No!" Lloyd lurched towards her but Kai and Cole held him back."Willow!"

"Let her go, Lloyd." Jay said.

"I told her..." Lloyd muttered."I told her she didn't have to sacrfice herself for us! I told her! I-I..."

"Lloyd." Kai said."Just... Let her be free."

"Yeah," Cole agreed."You heard her. She doesn't want to be a caged animal." Lloyd watched Willow disappear into the misty rain. She didn't even look back or say goodbye. He knew what he had to do... Once everyone was asleep...

                                                                                     He was going to find Willow and free her from her mother.
