Ori felt a pang of worry and unwillingness shoot through her being as she understood the words from Aru. Although they weren't sure whether it would work, they had to try if they hoped to survive.

But besides being crushed under the pressure of a beam of light, two more problems quickly presented themselves. One; Ori wasn't sure she possessed the ability to move around in such a danger filled zone, only made harder as she still had to carry the orb of light with her to the end. While the other problem was what truly worried her; as of current, both of them together were just enough to resist being crushed, but if she were to leave, would Aru have the strength?

She shivered, but knew all to well that there was no choice. But it only seemed to grow worse as a light cracked formed on their shield, slowly lengthening to each end; thankfully it was quickly noticed by Josh, who warned them of the coming danger.

Resignation, than determination appeared on her face as she strugglingly prepared to run after receiving encouragement from Aru. Though unwillingly, she began a countdown starting from three as they prepared themselves.

She steeled herself as her count hit two, storing the tension in her legs as she prepared to run.

Then when she finally hit one, Aru shifted into the middle of the shield, taking the full weight upon himself as soon as Ori left in a sprint.

Almost immediately, he buckled, falling down to his knees where he began to panic under the intense pressure. It felt like his bones were about to crack from the pressure, while the lengthening crack became the least of his concerns.

His body and surroundings began to pulsate with light as he exerted enormous amounts of power, the likes of which he had never before exerted. Though, oddly enough, his panic blocked the exhaustion he should've been feeling in his panic.

Thankfully though, Ori had managed to cover over half of the remaining distance ahead of her with extreme dexterity. Though she refrained from looking back with all her might, the shouting of Josh gave her anxiety, and she began taking risks in order to go faster.

Aru was obviously unaware of this though, as he could spare no thought to anything other than keeping himself from being crushed. Cracks had started to appear on the ice below him, lengthening just as fast as his shields durability was coming to its end.

Ori jumped as she reached the end, narrowly dodging the brunt of a close passing beam, though not completely. It practically drew a white line along her ankle, bringing a numbing pain that she found hard to notice at first; but then the pain appeared, and she screamed, landing roughly on the floor, the orb rolling out of reach.

Meanwhile the intense glow and aura radiating from Aru head reached an apex, to the point where no-one could see him looking in. And all the while, Josh's arrows were now of no help, leaving him only able to sit on the sides, a mad panic consuming him that only got worse as time wore on.

He almost screamed when he saw Ori stop for even a second, flying into hysterics as the situation continued to worsen exponentially.

Thankfully though, Ori had also glimpsed Aru's situation, and the pain seemed to completely disappear as she scrambled back. She limped towards the orb, buckling halfway as she got within arms reach of it beside the stone pedestal. She wrapped her arms around it and hoisted it up onto the rim of the pedestal, leaning heavily against it as she struggled through the reappearing pain of her ankle.

The orb rolled down the cold stone after a weak push, grating against it as it settled, nestled where it was suppose to be all along. However, Ori started to panic when the beams did not cease immediately.
