~Chloe's POV~
Let it go, just let it all go. Picking up my violin I took my seat at the window of the music room. Undoing my hair and closing my eyes. Grasping my bow I played the cover of Ed Sheeran's song Kiss me. First the opening chords then the words 'Settle down with me, cover me up, cuddle me in'. I let it all just flow. With every chord the words flow in my head 'Kiss me like you wanna be loved'. I felt the worry, pain and sorrow slip away allowing a relaxing calm to was over me. That's until...
The door of the music room flew open with a bang, scaring me half to death. Opening my eyes to the door now wide open revealing Dean Saunders our school's jock. A very angry one at that.
He stomped his way to the piano, falling down on the stool. Opening it's cover and started playing a song I haven't heard before.
I know weird right our school jock plays piano. My mood all ruined I stood up tying my blonde hair in a messy bun.
After packing up my violin, I left. Or tried to. "Hey" I heard a deep voice behind me as I put my violin in it's usual spot. Turning to a smiling Dean. Weird.
"Hey?" I said hesitantly. "I didn't ruin your practice for the recital, did I?" He asked nervously. "No, I practice that after school. I just came here for alone time" I said calmly. "Oh" a breath of relief escaped his lips.
I turned around to leave but got stopped once again "You won't tell anyone the school jock is playing piano when he's worked up right?" He asked all worried. Lightly giggling I replied softly "Your secret is safe with me" this time not waiting for him to reply I walked out.
Making my way to lunch I grabbed a salad and left the cafeteria to sit outside on the grass. Before sitting I got out my blanket from my extra bag and threw it open on the ground to avoid getting my light blue summer dress dirty.
Why was Dean nice to a low life like me?
I guess it's his way to get me to keep his secret. That would make sense. The bell rang as I finished my salad. Dumping the polyester tray in the can in front of the school.
Well another boring period.
Chemistry. Mentally snorting, the only chemistry in class is the kids making out in the back. Not a pleasant thing to witness. At the door I shuddered. Brace yourself Chloe. Stepping in I took my seat in the front row. Let's hope I survive.
The teacher of our class is a real softy, he never yells at the class; never gets worked up and never gives extra work nor do anything to prevent the make out crew.
The other students took their places and Mr Cameron started the lesson. Taking as much notes as possible for the test we'll be writing on Friday.
When he was done demonstrating he gave us time to write it down and then an off period. How sweet?
Popping in my earphones, I listened to my sweet sweet violin music. Yeah I know violin girl throught and throught. Even got the floral dress to prove it.
But te violin isn't the only instrument I play. I also occasionally play piano and cello. The violin is my favriot because it's like honouring my mother, it was her natural talent until she got sick and couldn't play anymore.
The bell rang five songs later, grabbing my books I made sure I got out before anyone else. At my locker I exchanged my books for my note sheets and headed to the music room.
Mrs Thatcher was already waiting back to me staring out the window. Ever since my mother's death she's been like a second mom to me. They were good friends from school since 1989.
"Chloe please take a seat and let's get started" I took my usual seat at the window and placed my note sheets on it's stand. I'm practicing the swan for the big recital at the end of the year.
"Now we'll begin when your new accomplice arrives." She said as a matter of factly. Well that's new, she use to do the piano part.
"Accomplice?" I muttered. Just then Mr jock burst throught the door. Oh curse my life.
"Alright Dean take your seat so we can begin" Mrs Thatcher ordered. "We'll be playing te swan and a few other songs right now we're practicing the swan"
"Start at page 1 and play until 3" sighing I started playing te notes since the violin opens and the piano continues. If he screws this up I'll personally kill him.
He fell in perfectly.
