For the First Time (1)

POV: Piper Downey

Everyday after school I walk with my best friends Elliott and Miley. Our parents worked on the set of a few different movies and that's where we met. I've known Miley for years, she is practically my sister and we met Elliott a few years ago, but it feels like its been forever. I don't know what I could do without them.

Everyday we would talk about the little things that happened in our day like crushes, tests, and the latest news. One little thing to know about Elliott is that he is gay. Which to Miley and I it isn't an issue but his dad would send him away if he knew. To cover this huge secret, Elliott is dating his other friend Jess. Jess is aware of the fact he is gay, and saved Elliott from coming out at the wrong time. After that ordeal Jess pretended that they were dating. 

Most days we would hangout at Elliott's penthouse since he was an only child. With this the house was normally pretty empty yet today was like no other. Elliott's dad was home to have a talk with Elliott about his mother. Elliott's parents were getting divorced and his mom was running away with a younger man. The man was there with his mom helping her move out as soon as possible. Although this was a shock it didn't really affect him that much. Everyone knew that there marriage was rocky but I was going to take advantage of that.

I always thought that his dad was cool and was very funny. I guess I finally realized that he was much more than that, much more than any woman could ever ask for. But before I could fantasize about him any longer I was getting a phone call. 

Ring Ring

"hey dad what's up" said Piper

"Hey honey I need you to come home soon for dinner" said Robert

"ok I am on my way home, I love you 300" said Piper

Call Ended

I stood up getting off of the couch. Then Bam. Miley hit me with a pillow.

"hey what was that for" said Piper

"dude are you leaving already, its not even 6 yet" asked Miley

"sorry kids but I have been summoned by father dearest"  said Piper

We said our goodbyes and I made my way to my car but before I could leave I saw him. He was cooking dinner for himself. I tried to sneak out but I caught his eye.

"Hey Piper, leaving so soon?" said Chris

"Oh yeah my dad called him home for dinner. It's my favorite" said Piper

"Well tell your dad I said hello and have him text me back" said Chris

"Yeah no problem" said Piper

I rushed out of the house all flustered. I couldn't stop thinking about him and his skin glistening in the sunlight. My jaw dropped to the floor when I left. He really took time out of his day to talk to me wait no I can't. That's my best friend's dad my BFD.
