This chapter is brought to you by the city of Whiterun. Of whom is too cheap to clean vacant houses in their city.
GOODNESS! Look at those spider webs and dust! It seems even the spiders gave up on making their homes here. Is that a rat?! It's dead!____________________________________
"I wish to buy Breezehome," Clover states as she throws money at the Jarl's assistant.
"So sudden? You just woke up from a coma, no?" He asked.
"Yes, and?" Clover rolls her eyes.
"I do believe you are not yet capable of rational decisions so soon after awakening," He explains.
Clover grabs him by the collar and holds him up in the air. "I do believe that you just insulted me. Am I wrong?" She growls.
He gulped as Inigo chuckled behind her. "N-no ma'am, My Thane. I would never."
"Good, now. I wish to buy Breezehome fully furnished, and I would like to speak to your city guards," Clover placed him back on his feet.
"Yes ma'am, but why do you need to speak with them?" He whimpers under her gaze.
"Because one of them insulted my friend behind me. I don't take kindly to that, just because someone is of another race doesn't mean you can treat them differently. I wish to talk to them about that," Clover admits.
"And how, may I ask, do you plan on changing their minds?" He asks counting the gold.
"A little something I like to call incentive," She smirks as she takes the key to her new home. "Let's go, Inigo, sleep awaits."
"Right away, My Friend," Inigo follows after her. "So My Friend, what would you like to eat?"
"Oh, I'm going to make some apple cabbage stew. You can go to the bed up in the main bedroom. I'm going to take the stew to Lydia," Clover smiles.
"Are you sure?" Inigo asks, worry evident in his creased brow.
"I'm positive, Inigo. You don't seem to have had much sleep and you need sleep more than me. And I promised I'd come back to talk to Lydia," Clover confirms as they draw nearer to their new home.
"But are you completely sure? What if that guard comes back?" He questions with a growl.
"That would be a problem for them, not me. He was rude to you, not to me. I can put up with people being mean to me but not you," Clover confesses as she pulls him to their house and unlocks the door.
"Oh my goodness, My Friend," Inigo says.
"Good gods. This city is terrible at making vacant houses presentable. Is that a rat?" Clover squeals, jumping into Inigo's arms.
"Yes, My Friend, it is a rat," He confirms, closing the door behind them.
"Kill it! Kill it with fire!" Clover yells.
"It's already dead, My Friend," He chuckles, putting her down and grabbing a nearby broom to start cleaning their new residence. "You cook, I'll clean."
Clover nods as she starts a fire under the nearby pot of water. Once it was stable she started to prepare the food. She chopped up cabbage and apples and added a hint of lavender for flavor."That's an interesting smelling stew, My Friend," Inigo says over her shoulder. "What are you putting in there? Lavender?"
Clover gasps shocked he could figure it out so quickly. "Ppht, no."
"You can't hide smells from me. I've got the best nose this side of the 'Throat of the World," He chuckled going back to cleaning.
Clover huffs defeated. "Guess I won't ever be able to make anything with secret ingredients without you knowing, huh?"
