"Tobio! We can't leave now," Shoyo uttered. Tobio laid Hinata on his bed. He stroke Hinata's face and kissed him on the forehead.
"This is the best thing for us," Tobio whispered. Hinata rolled onto his side to face away from Tobio. "Oh come on Shoyo! We have to."
"Promise me when we get out that we can do it," Shoyo says, still facing away from Tobio.
"Fine," Tobio sighs and grabs the bags from under Shoyo's bed. He goes to the closet and grabs the hidden suitcases. As Tobio was getting ready to leave, Shoyo climbed out of bed and left the room. Tobio finished packing the rest of their needs before looking back at Shoyo's bed. When Tobio notice that Shoyo was gone, he ran out of the room. He checks all of the rooms before he heard Mother screaming. He ran into the kitchen, seeing Chikara on the floor. Mother was standing in front of him with a wooden spatula.
"I'm sorry Mother. I didn't know that the meat was overcooked," Chikara pleaded. Mother didn't say anything, he swung the spatula down on Chikara's back. Mother continued to hit Chikara without stopping for a break. Chikara was silently sobbing as the spatula continue to make contact with his skin. Tobio watched as Mother used the whole spatula to abuse Chikara. Mother must know that Tobio was watching because he didn't stop hitting Chikara. Tobio quietly snuck away from the scene. The last thing he saw was a dark stain on Chikara's shirt.
Tadashi announced that dinner was ready an hour later. Tobio stopped looking for Shoyo because of Mother getting mad for interrupting him and Chikara and that it seems that Shoyo disappeared. When Tobio arrived at the table, Shoyo was sitting down in his usual spot unbothered. Tobio walked to the chair next to Shoyo and sat down. Chikara came out of the kitchen with the food. Tadashi looked at Chikara with concern in his eyes.
The table was quiet like usual, but there was a weird tension in the room. Shoyo seems the most worried and wouldn't stop glancing at Mother. The housekeepers tried multiple times to start a conversation, but Mother made signals for them to keep quiet. Dinner seemed to drag on for so long. Everyone seemed on edge even after dinner. Tadashi and Kei had dishes, Chikara and Yuu had the table, and Ryu and Shoyo had the kitchen. Tobio was lucky to not have a job after dinner, so he went back to his room to finish the last things for departure.
"Tobio are you ready to leave now?" Shoyo questioned as he entered the room. "It's already 8."
"I'm done getting everything ready, but we have three suitcases and two bags. How are we going to leave with all of this stuff?" Tobio said. Shoyo walked up to the suitcase and tried picking them up.
"Hey Tobio, can you open the window?" Shoyo asked. Tobio looked at Shoyo with a curious face. He didn't know what Shoyo was planning. Tobio opened the window, and immediately Shoyo tossed the suitcase out the window.
"SHOYO!" Tobio shouted. "Why did you do that?"
"We are going to grab them when we escape to the forest."
"Why are we going to the forest?" Shoyo shook his head and tossed the suitcases out the window. After, Shoyo shut the window. Tobio watched Shoyo grab somethings from his bed and shoved it in his bag.
"Get your bag," Shoyo demanded.
"Okay, but why did you shut the window?" Tobio asked.
"We can't leave through the window because I can't shut it from the outside," Shoyo pointed out. "We are escaping from the roof."
"How is that possible?" Tobio commented. Shoyo ignored Tobio and left the room. Tobio followed Shoyo to the back door that led to the backyard. Shoyo quiets slid open the door and snuck out. They crossed the backyard and to the gate outside.
"The gate is locked by a passcode, so how are we going to get out?" Tobio asked.
"Tobio baby, you need to stop being so stupid and a dickhead," Shoyo whispered. "Also keep your voice down." Shoyo reached into his jacket's pocket and pulled out a small bag of flour. "Can you hold the bag, please?"
"Why do you have that?" Tobio says grabbing the bag. Shoyo grabbed a small handful of flour. He began to spread it all over his hands. The walk to the brick wall that was next to the gate.
"I told you that we're escaping from the roof. We have to climb this wall first," Shoyo muttered. "Now get your hand floured so you can climb when I reach the roof."
"Get the bag from me before I climb," Tobio stated. Shoyo was now at the roof, and grab the bag from Tobio when he reached down. Tobio began to climb the wall.
"STOP IT NOW! GET BACK HERE NOW!" Mother screamed. Mother came marching towards Shoyo and Tobio. Tadashi and Kei were following Mother as he was screaming. Tobio started to climb higher up the wall to avoid Mother. Mother walked past them and out the gate.
"SOMEONE HELP ME! MY SONS HAVE ATTACKED ME AND ARE NOW ESCAPING!" Mother yelled. "PLEASE HELP ME! I'm HURT AND MY SONS HAVE ATTACKED MY FAMILY!" Tobio was able to get to the roof and watched Mother scream and yell. Tadashi and Kei keep looking at Mother and their brothers.
"Tobio, go to the front of the house. I'll be there in a second," Shoyo whispered.
"Wait! Tadashi?" Tobio shouted. Tadashi turned to face Tobio. "Can you text Ryunosuke and Yuu to make a commotion to distract Mother?"
"Okay, they are willing to do this for you," Tadashi said pulling out his phone to text the two.
"Thank you Tadashi," Tobio said. Tobio stood up and walked to the front of the house from the roof. Shoyo stayed back to say something.
"Thank you Tadashi and Kei," Shoyo said. Kei walked to the wall and climbed it to get a little closer to Shoyo.
"You owe me for this," Kei whispered into Shoyo's ear. Kei leaned closer and kissed Shoyo on the lips. "I'll tell you what you have to do to pay me back tomorrow." Kei jumped down and walked back to Tadashi. Shoyo got a weird feeling from Kei's actions but knew that he couldn't cheat on Tobio. Shoyo stood up and walk to where Tobio should be. Tobio was sitting at the edge of the roof looking at the forest ahead of them.
"Tobio?" Shoyo muttered. "Are you okay?"
"I'm just shocked that we are finally free from Mother," Tobio mumbled. Shoyo sat down next to Tobio.
"We aren't part of the family anymore. You can call Mother by his real name," Shoyo said. "We can also call each other by our last names before it was changed."
"Well Hinata," Tobio declared. Hinata giggled. "Shall we get going?"
"We shall, Kageyama," Hinata announced. Hinata and Kageyama slid off the roof and landed into the grass next to the suitcases Hinata tossed out earlier. They grabbed the suitcases and headed off into the forest. Koshi was watching them from the window as Hinata and Kageyama ran off into the forest.
