Hi! Welcome to my first written story, I hope you like reading it. I'm practically new at making stories like this so feel free to criticize me, and point out the faults in my story, like my grammar, or the storyline is going too fast, or something. Anyway, I'm wasting your time reading this, so please! Go on to the next page. :)

I own the characters. And the story.

- 'Thoughts'
- "Speaking/SHOUTING"

My name is Jason Evans. Im 15 years old. I like to read books and listen to music. I have a disease that started when I was at the age of 6. It's slowly killing me, and theres no cure for it, medicine is the only thing that is slowing it down. Life has more downs than up for some people I guess. And on with the story of my life.

I groaned and opened my eyes, only to get eyes full of sunlight, and closed them as fast as I opened them. I sat up and blinked the drowsiness out of my eyes. I looked around my room that had my bed beside my window, and my eyes drifted to the PC with the 3 screens across the side of my bed, and my air conditioner, my wardrobe beside the entrance of my toilet. I laid my eyes on the door across my bed and breathed deeply.

"Come on Jason! Wake up! You don't want to be late for school today." His mother, Sarah, said to him outside his bedroom door."

I sighed, "Yes, mom. Don't worry, I didn't forget."

I stood up, fixed my bed, and prepared for my first day at school. After a few minutes I was in my school clothes, and wore my hoodie over my uniform, and my bag with my things inside, walked down the stairs putting my iPhone and my earphones in my pocket, and entered the kitchen, only to be suddenly blinded by a flash.

Blinking my eyes, I asked, "Woah. What happened? What was that flash?" And noticed the camera in my mom's hands.

"Aww. My baby is finally going to school. They grow up so fast, I'm going to put this in your photo album", My mom said with a smile on her face, looking at my recently taken photo in her camera.

"Oh. Well, you could've given me a heads-up before you flashed me with your camera.", I said smiling.

My father chuckled, "Make us proud son, and remember that your mother and I will always love and support you, no matter what you do, now eat your breakfast and drink your medicine, the bus will be coming in 10 minutes."

On the way to school inside the bus, I brought out my phone, plugged my earphones on and listened to Ed Sheeran- 'Lego House'. I hummed the tune, and checked for my registration papers.

'Wonder what will happen on my first day of high school?', I thought.

I walked through the gate of my school, after greeting and showing my I.D. to the guard and letting him check my bag, and slowly stared at the sight of students walking through the doors with their friends, talking loudly and laughing. I felt nervous, since this is my first time going to a private school. I was home schooled by my paid tutor on weekdays, and my parents on weekends so I wouldn't be behind my own education. I felt my heart ache from the nervous feeling, and went over to the side of the gate to rest and drank water, trying to calm my beating heart.

'Damn. I can't go making a scene on a first day.. I have to be relaxed.' I thought.

After feeling my heart calm down, I breathed deeply, and weaving through the groups of student around me, I walked through the entrance of my Academy.
