After waking up alone on a dark night, Hongjoong knew that something was wrong. It was as if he lost all sense of direction. He did not know where he was for the first few seconds of opening his eyes. Yet he found himself relaxing at the sight of the computer in front of him.It is like a habit now. He tends to overwork himself only to fall asleep on his work and wake up a few hours later due to the neck pains that he gets. He usually just continues on the song from where he left off and then when his eyes get heavy again, he would just crash on the sofa in his studio for the night.
But today is different. He does not have any motivation to continue anything or start something new. He grabs his phone to check the time, 03:00. 'I thought it's already five...'
Thoughts about the time disappear as soon as he read the amount of times Seonghwa has called and texted him. He usually gives a few texts to make sure Hongjoong is still alive and to ask if he needs anything. But this time it is different and very weird?>Is it normal?
>I'm thinking of you a lot
>Can you help me?Hongjoong's eyes grew in shock as he read the messages. He was afraid of what could've happened. Him and Seonghwa are very close. They live and work together. They share some interests and they care about each other deeply. But this, this was different. Seonghwa never texted like that and if he wanted to talk on something important, he would do it face to face, not per text.
>I'm trying to call you but you are not answering
>I'm getting impatient now
>Must I drag you out for you to see?'What the fuck' Hongjoong could not believe what he read. He started doubting if those texts were really meant for him or for someone else. Seonghwa would never be that rude (is that even the right word?) to him even if it was a joke. He would have believed it more if Seonghwa had said that they were actually directed to San, but the next text proved his own thought wrong.
>Hongjoong, I am coming to you
Hongjoong's heart was beating faster than it has ever. 'Why?' The last text was sent 02:47, so that means that Seonghwa should be on his way.
Hongjoong sat in his chair, blinking through his thoughts and trying to comprehend what Seonghwa has told him. 'What does he mean?'

He got reminded of a few months earlier where ATEEZ were on a break for new year's. Something similar happened at that time.
Hongjoong couldn't visit his parents so he stayed at the dorm. Everyone else left to their families while he sat alone. It's not like no one offered him to stay with them but he found it rude to do so and let them be.
As he sat alone, drunk and waiting for the countdown, he put on some music, 'I'm thinking of you, deeply embedded in me, then kiss your lips'
The song seemed so familiar but he couldn't wrap his fingers around the title because of his drowsy state of mind. The only thing that he could do in that state is to type those lyrics he heard on his phone, and that he did 'to save it for some inspiration later'.
"Your breath was sweeter than honey"
"Your hair used to tickle me"
"I'm holding onto the fleeting memories"
"With a burning heart, looking for you"He typed and typed every word he could filter out with his drunkenness.
He passes out right after. When he woke up the next day, he was in bed with his phone still in his hand. He slowly adjusted his eyes to the brightness and opened his eyes only to immediately open the messages app as if on instinct. His head and eyes were failing him as he was still nauseous from the alcohol, but he tried to focus his eyes to look at his phone to check the time. 11:56.
With his squinted eyes, he could barely read who the receiver of the messages was, Seonghwa.
