KAGEYAMA POV
The sudden beeping of my alarm startled me awake and i fell off my bed "ow...damn, that hurt" i said under my breath. i groaned and just laid on the floor for a while before getting up and getting ready for school. I turned my phone on and glanced at the screen while i brushed my teeth '6:13' was the time. i sighed and rolled my eyes 'might as well call Hinata since that dumbass is probably still sleeping' i thought before going to my contacts and dialing Hinata's number.
A couple rings later...
"Hello..?" said a sleepy voice "Hinata boke! you aren't up yet??" i yelled through the phone "Ow! Kageyama that was my earrrrr" he complained, i sighed and calmed down "sorry...but seriously, wake up and get ready you stupid tangerine" i told him "fine..." he said "i'll see you at morning practice" i hummed in response before hanging up. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. i grabbed a milk box from the fridge and drank it on my way to school. i finished it by the time i reached the gate and threw the empty box into a nearby trash can and headed to the gym "Kageyama!" i heard behind me, i turned to see Hinata running toward me "Hey" i said, it was clear he was out of breath "Boke! did you run all the way here!" i yelled "now you won't have any energy to practice" he huffed at me "I'll be fine Kageyama!" then he turned away and coughed into his sleeve a few times, they sounded painful... "a-are you okay?" i asked, Hinata cleared his throat and nodded "yeah, i'm fine. Now let's get to practice before Daichi kills us" I nodded and we walked into the gym "SHOYOOOOOOO!!!" yelled our 5'2 Libero, Nishinoya "NOYA SANNNNN!!" Hinata yelled back as the two hugged each other, i rolled my eyes, I looked up and saw our familiar brown haired 5'9 team captain, Daichi. He chuckled and pulled Hinata and Nishinoya apart "That's enough, you two, time for practice" he said. The two cheered and we got started with practice.
We were all sweating by the time we were 10 minutes in. I looked over and noticed that Hinata didn't look to good 'maybe he's just more tired than the rest of us...' i thought. As soon as i looked away i heard our managers Kiyoko and Yachi scream, when i looked over to Hinata i saw that he was falling "Hinata!" i yelled and ran to catch him, i was lucky and caught him just in time. i breathed a sigh of relief. Coach Ukai ran over "Kageyama what happened??" he asked "I-i don't know coach, he just fainted..." i replied and looked back down at Hinata. i put my hand on his forehead and he was burning up bad. "Coach...i think he has a fever" i said and looked up at Coach "shit...alright Kageyama bring him to the infirmary now" he told me, i nodded and picked Hinata up
'he's so light...' i thought as i carried him to the nurse.
The nurse rushed over when i entered her office "Oh my! what happened?" she said putting a hand on Hinata's forehead "he fainted during morning practice for volleyball and Coach told me to bring him here" i replied, she hummed and then said "well this is unfortunately very bad timing...i have to run out to get my son's bag since he left it at home and bring it to him.." she said "oh but this poor thing has a fever..." i looked down at him then got an idea. "I can look after him while you go bring your son his bag" i spoke up quickly, the nurse was shocked "are you sure?" she asked, i nodded and she sighed "very well...thank you Kageyama" she said and left.
I laid Hinata down on one of the beds and pulled the blanket up to his shoulders. "you could have just told me you weren't feeling good boke..." i whispered. i sighed and laid my head down on the side of the bed while i was sitting in the chair next to the bed. 'might as well catch a couple "Z"s while i wait for him to wake up..' i thought before i drifted off to sleep.
HINATA POV
The last thing i was able to remember was blacking out at morning practice and hearing someone yell my name "Hinata!!" a voice yelled 'who...? what?" i thought. Then everything went black.
It had seemed like only a few minutes i was asleep but when my eyes started to flutter open i felt sick to my stomach "ugh..." i groaned. Then i saw something out of the corner of my eye, I looked down to see...is that..."Kageyama..?" i asked, when i leaned down, i realized that he was sleeping. 'How long has he been here...?' i thought.
I sat up, carefully so i didn't wake Kageyama, and had my back leaning against a bunch of pillows. I looked back down at Kageyama 'he looks so peaceful...' i thought. i reached over and started to play with his hair, my face lit up "so soft and fluffy..." i whispered, after a few minutes i had spaced out and continued playing with Kageyama's hair. i slightly jumped when i heard a small groan and saw Kageyama look up at me "Hinata...?" he said in a sleepy voice, then his face lit up "Hinata! are you okay? you scared me!" i blushed "you...you were worried about me..?" i asked then he blushed too "I- um- well...yeah i...i was" he said and looked down, 'awww...' i thought
I pulled Kageyama into a tight hug and soon felt him hug back.
"Hinata" he said
"Yeah?"
"Don't scare me like that again..."
i laughed "i won't"
then it hit me
"Wait a minute..." i said and Kageyama looked at me "What..?" he said. "i...i thought you hated me..." i mumbled. he blushed again like crazy "i- i don't! i never have...i mean- maybe back in middle school yeah but i..i don't hate you Hinata..." he said as he put his hand on my cheek and i teared up
KAGEYAMA POV
"Kageyama.." Hinata mumbled as he teared up, i didn't wanna upset him "don't cry..." i said "please..."
"i- i'm sorry..." he said as the tears fell. I whimpered and brought my other hand up to his face and wiped his tears. I looked into his beautiful brown eyes and he stared back into my cold deep blue ones.
'what...am i feeling...?' i thought as my heart beat slowly sped up. i leaned closer to Hinata until our faces were just a mere inch apart, his eyes widened "K-Kageyama what are you..." he whispered but he was cut off by the sudden pressure of my lips on his. i pulled back and quickly apologized "I- I'm sorry i don't know what i-" now he cut me off...
'damn you little tangerine...why are you so cute...'
'why does my heart race when you're around?'

'in...'
'Love...?'
