"Scott! I'm going to work now" called out Mellissa McCall to her son. The McCall family struggle with the bills and affording things so Mellissa always tries to get extra shifts at the hospital whenever she can.
Scott was alone in his room when he heard noises of what sounded like someone trying to break in so he grabbed the baseball bat that's right next to his door and followed the sound out onto his front veranda seconds later
"AHHHH"
"AHHH, SCOTT IT'S IT'S JUST ME AND ALEXANDRA!"
"STILES AND ALEXANDRA! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!!"
"WHAT YOU WEREN'T ANSWERING YOUR PHONE!"
Stiles and Alexandra are hanging upside down from the roof, Alex jumps but Stiles stays hanging there.
"Why do you have a baseball bat Scotty?" Alex asked Scott who was mere seconds from hitting the two teens with.
"I thought you two were predators" Alex and Stiles look at each other than look at Scott.
"You'd think that he'd be more used to us dropping in like this" Alex says looking at Stiles.
"That doesn't matter. I know it's late but you've got to hear this I just saw my dad leave 20 minutes ago dispatch called they are bringing in every officer from the Beacon department and even state police" Stiles says smiling like a manic
"For what?" a clueless Scott said
"two joggers found a body in the woods" Stiles jumped down from the roof
"A dead body?"
"No, a body of water, YES DUMB-ASS A DEAD BODY!" Stiles sarcastically replies to his best friend since the second grade. See Scott and Stiles have been best friends since they first met playing in the sandpit in the second grade and then the fourth grade the two boys met Alexandra after she was crying and nearly broke a guy's arm out of anger, the thing is Alexandra's real name is Charlotte but she hates the name and she gets pissed off any time someone uses it she also has I.E.D (Intermittent Explosion Disorder). Everyone is scared of her because they never know when she's going to explode at you but Scott and Stiles are the only people who can and know how to come her down. Looking at them you would that the two boys aren't scared of her but deep down they actually do get scared of her from time to time they just don't let it on because they don't want to hurt Alexandra's feelings. To them she's like a cute angry puppy, she's not always angry especially not when she is with Scott or Stiles, they make her happy.
"You mean like murdered?"
"Nobody knows yet" Alex says as Stiles climbs onto the veranda
"Just that it was a girl probably in her 20's"
"Hold on if they found the body then what are they looking for?" Scott replied confused.
Alex and Stiles smile like crazy
"That's the best part-" Stiles cut Alex off
"They only found half!!"
"we're going"
The three teens hop into Roscoe Stiles' blue Jeep that he's had since he was sixteen and wouldn't trade it for any other it was also his mother's car before she died. Stiles drove the three of them to Beacon Hills Preserve where they were gonna look for the body.
"we seriously doing this?" Scott complained
"Scotty you're the always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town and now that something has happened you complain and wants to go home"
" I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow?"
"you don't need a goodnight sleep to sit on the bench the whole season" Alex retorted stiles laughs.
"right cause sitting on a bench is such a gruelling effort," Stiles says
"no, I'm playing this year, in fact, I'm making first-line." Scott said with a bit of confidence in his voice.
"good for you Scotty boy" Alex retorted.
Both boys have dreamed of making it to first-line ever since they were little but Scott has really bad asthma and Stiles well Stiles just sucks at lacrosse.
"Just out of curiosity which half of the body are we looking for?" Scott pipes after a couple of minutes of silence and walking.
"I didn't even think about that did you, Stiles?"
"Huh no I didn't" Stiles replied laughing, the two were too excited when they heard that they didn't even listen to see which half.
"And what if whoever killed the body is still out here?" Scott looked at them questioningly.
"Also something we didn't think about" like usual Alex and Stiles didn't really think these little things.
"Maybe the severe asthmatic one should hold the flashlight huh?" Scott asked wheezing and take a puff of his inhaler.
not that far ahead Stiles, Alex and Scott saw the police and everyone with police dogs as well. Stiles took off running followed by Alex.
"wait up you guys" Scott whisper shouts running after them.
"Hold it right there!" one of the officers said as they caught Alex and Stiles while the dog is barking.
"Hang on, hang on" voiced Sheriff Stilinksi, Stiles dad who also looks after Alex from time to time when she needs to get away from home for reasons only Sheriff Stilinksi knows.
" These little delinquents belong to me" Stiles and Alex shading their faces because the other officer is flashing the flashlight in their faces.
"Dad,how you doing?"
"so, do you two ,huh, listen into all my phone calls?" the Sheriff asked the two teens
"No not all of them" Alex smiles
"Not the boring one's"
"Where's the third partner in crime?" the sheriff asked while looking around trying to find Scott.
"Who?, Scott?"
"Scott's at home, he wanted a good night's sleep for the first back at school tomorrow" Stiles said lying to his father.
"It's just us two alone in the woods, daddy poppins"
The Sheriff looked at the two teens not really believing him flashed his flashlight around and calling out Scott to no response from him. Looking back at the two teens the sheriff gave them a smirk with one eyebrow raised.
"Sure the two of you aren't secretly dating. You would be a perfect match also why can't you two be like Scott and stay home out of trouble?"
"NO!" both teens yelled
"beside Daddy Poppins you know I don't care much for school" Alex said smiling at the sheriff. Most people think that Alex is either dating Scott or Stiles but she's not she wishes she was dating Scott. People also think that it's weird that Alex calls the Sheriff 'Daddy Poppins' but Sheriff Stilinksi doesn't mind it all. The whole time this is going down Scott is not too far behind and hiding behind a tree listening to the conversation.
"Well I'm going to walk you back to the car now and then we can have a conversation about something called invasion of privacy."
