FOUR

•MEMPHIS•
First period was over thank God. But now I have to walk to second period all the way on the other side of the school. It didn't take me as long to get there as I thought, only about 3 minutes.

When I got to second period, the teacher made me do the same thing as my first period. Again, felt like I was going to puke. I'm just glad she didn't make me say an interesting thing about myself. That would have been really awkward.

Third period I had to do the same thing. Why do these freaking teachers care so much? Anyways, now I'm on my way to 4th period. My class with Michael, finally.

I get in the classroom and the teacher makes me sit in the back corner. When Michael gets in he sits right next to me. When the bell rings the teacher does the same thing, "Ok new kids stand up!" She said with her perky attitude.

We both stood up at the same time. "Ok at the beginning of the year I made all the students tell me these things so I can get to know them better. Question one, what's your name?"

Michael spoke first, "Michael Bennett." I spoke after "Memphis Taylor"

"Question 2, where are you from"

I spoke, "We are both from cullman Alabama."

"Ohhh so y'all know each other? Are y'all siblings?" She asked.

"No ma'am we are best friends." Michael said.

"Oh how wonderful! Question three. How many people live in your household."

I didn't know wether to just say two or what so I left the talking to Michael. "6 people live in our household." Michael lied. The school kinda cant know that we live alone.

"Question 4, what is your favorite subject."

"English" I spoke up.

"Agriculture." Michael said.

After the questions were over we sat down. Today was like a catch up day so everybody was doing their work while me and Michael just sat there quietly. The lunch bell finally rang for lunch.

We got up and walked to the lunchroom. Today's options were pizza or chicken sandwich. So we both got spicy chicken sandwiches. The lunchroom was more like a resteraunt. There were the tall tables with stools, regular tables, and booths. We decided to sit in a booth in the very back.

"So how has your day been so far Lizzy bear?" He asked before he took a bite of his sandwich. "It's been good. Haven't made friends yet though. What about you?"

"Same." Was app he said.

During lunch, we talked about various things. Pretty soon lunch was over and we had to go back to class.

It's now 5th period, finally. That's one class closer to the day ending. When I walked into the classroom the teacher told me where to sit, which was in the middle of the room. There was a brunette girl sitting in front of me. She turned to face me, "Hi I'm Alayna."

"I'm Memphis." I said with a smile. She started a conversation with me and we talked until this guy showed up in front of her desk. He was really short, probably 5'5, he had dark brown hair and brown eyes. "Hey Alayna do you wanna go out with me after school?" He asked. "Tyler no. You cheated on me a few months ago a week into dating." Alayna sneered.

I laughed because he got rejected. He held out his hand, "Hi I'm Tyler Sanders." I shook his hand to be nice, "Memphis." "You're really cute. You wanna-" he started but I cut him off, "Sorry. Not my type." He just rolled his eyes and sat down. Me and Alayna laughed.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I look to my right and see a super tall, skinny guy with brown hair styled into a mullet. "Ignore him. He will try to get into any body's pants." The guy spoke. "Noted. I'm Memphis by the way."

"Blake. Are you the girl that moved here with Michael?" He asked. I nodded. "No way I have him 3rd period. Pretty cool dude. I got his snap." He said as he took the desk next to me. I laughed that he got Michael's snap already.

I think Michael lied to me about not meeting friends cause he felt bad for me. Bless his heart he has a sensitive soul. "Let's snap him." I said and pulled out my phone. I then proceeded to snap Michael a picture of Blake.

The teacher came in and class started. My first day isn't too bad after all.
