3 and a ½ days till the premiere
Yoona
I guess I am my worst enemy. My own thoughts and actions: my nemesis. All it took was one text and like a house of cards, I came crumbling down.
Another addition to the pile of regrets my life has become.
The doorbell echoed in the empty apartment, piercing through my eardrums. I groaned, putting a cushion over my ears.
The door unlocked after a few seconds.
"You can't show up like this on the day of premiere, Yoona." My manager frowned after taking in my dark circles and pallid complexion. She handed me a hangover medicine and a glass of water. "I'm serious."
"I won't." I shook my palm dismissively. It's not like I had a choice. I drank to blur my thoughts. I drank so I could fall asleep, but it's something I cannot make her understand.
"Anyway, splitting yesterday was a good call. Your fans were chasing our car so recklessly that we ended up stopping at McDonald's."
I chuckled, picturing the whole staff munching on fries while those chaotic fans ran around looking for me. "Was everyone civil to you guys?"
"Yeah. No one even approached us." She showed a thumbs up and whipped out her i-pad, "Let's get to work now." She said and started notifying me of upcoming schedule.
I wasn't listening properly, but it sounded awfully hectic.
"For the radio show tomorrow you have to wake up early, so don't drink, please." She pleaded.
I nodded. "I won't."
"That is all about the upcoming schedule. I've emailed you a copy as well. Please go through the questions for tomorrow." For some reason she looked more professional now that she'd chopped off her long hair to shoulder length. Prettier too.
"This look suits you." I ended up saying.
"Thanks. I like it too." She gave me a huge smile. So cute.
"Well, your food's in kitchen. Here's the new sim you asked for, and your current number will become inactive in 24 hours. Hopefully that crazy fan of yours will leave you alone now."
"Who?"
"The person who keeps texting you about a surprise?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
I totally forgot about that. "Yeah, right."
"Also we've reported the user who posted your flight details, but the account is deleted. I don't know if they can still track the person or not, meanwhile we will take extra precautions to make sure this doesn't happen again, and so should you." She wiped her palms on her grey pants. "It's your day off, but please be careful when you go out. We don't want a third scandal."
"Yeah, I won't go to any public places anyway."
"Even if you're stepping out of the building wear a mask and a hat or something." She was grave serious.
Is there something she is not telling me?
"Isn't this supposed to be the safest locality for celebrities?"
"Yes, it has the best security in Seoul, but don't take it for granted. At least not till the promotions are done."
I nodded.
"Anything else you need?" She asked, putting her ipad on her lap after locking it.
"There's one thing." I pursed my lips.
