Cons of Abortion
Maggie Walling
47,000 women die each year from unsafe abortions. There is an average of 1.4 million abortions per year. In my opinion you shouldn’t even be allowed to have an abortion because if you're willing to risk getting pregnant from unsafe sex. Then you should pay the price for your own dumb mistake of having sex and then getting pregnant. Abortions should not be legal because in some states there are some states that have fetal homicide laws but not in all states. Then abortions are murdering a human being even if its not brought into the world yet. If a teenage girl becomes pregnant then she should accept the responsibilities and consequences that come with having a baby or having sex. It should still count as murder. And then there are the possibilities that abortion can lead to medical problems later on in life.
Abortion should be considered murder. There are some states with fetal homicide laws but not all of them. Only 38 states have them. These states are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. But not all states have those same laws. But that only counts to the person who is basically conducting an abortion. But i mean if you didnt want to get pregnant then you should have used some type of protection during sex. Unless you actually wanted to have a baby. But, abortion should seriously count as murder.
If a woman becomes pregnant then she should accept the responsibilities that come with producing a child.
If a women are unprepared to care for their children then they should choose adoption and not abortion before the child is born. You shouldn't just choose abortion because of a financial problem. If you end up having a kid you should actually be prepared if something goes wrong. Not just choose abortion because you don't have the money to raise a kid or you want to finish and graduate high school. You shouldn't even be having intercourse. And if you actually do then you should be on birth control or actually use a condom. But if you only use the condom then there is the possibility that the condom could break or is put on wrong. ANd if you want double protection you should use a condom and birth control. But the baby shouldn’t be killed or punished because of a mistake the parents made. Its just not fair.
Reproductive choice empowers women by giving her control over their own bodies. The choice over when and whether to have children is central to a woman's independence and ability to determine her future. It may be her own future but if you didnt want to have a baby in your future then you shouldn't have even had unprotected sex. It would have been your own fault. It may be your own body. But the body inside of you is also a body. And you could actually give that baby a chance to live by putting it up for adoption. And if it was meant to die then it will die on its own. But if the baby lives let it live and put it up for adoption.
Overall, there are numerous negative effects to abortion. Some people may think its a good thing but in reality its not. It can be bad no matter which side you're on. Because as the numbers of abortion increase. The number of breast cancer increases. But, there is too many things that can go wrong. Methotrexate can cause serious birth defects if your pregnancy doesn’t end. These are very much some of the reasons why i go against abortion. I believe that people should stand against abortion if they don't want it. If the founding fathers didn't say it then it shouldn't even be here.
