You see, the government's found something out recently. Something that could change the world for the better....or for the worse. We will all be changed, that's for sure though.
Me and my siblings, Xander and Laina are part of the first generation. We will be a part of the first group changed. This is known. Yet, the secrets of the change are unknown so far. All we've heard is that the government has a new machine. And it will
shut down chunks of our brains.
They're interested, to say the least, to see if shutting down specific parts of the brain, the parts that control emotions, the parts that control speech, and even parts that control motor skills. They want to try to focus our brains on specific functions to create the ultimate superhumans of specific fields of research. Science. Music. Language. And even the art of war.
We will no longer be ourselves. We will be a new group, known as the Savants
