Well, I shut down the power to everything and then I hooked up some loudspeakers to an MP3 player and left it on playing Fortunate Son because it's a good song and it was there to disorient the enemy as we had an earplug to cover the open ear. Then, I brought down my goggles and started to sweep the portion of the house I was assigned to check. The house was effectively quiet in the house minus the music, and the occasional crackle of static from the radio. I went through the rooms on my side of the house, two of four bedrooms, and the living room. I didn't find anything. So, I report that my rooms are clear, and I am heading outside.

Austin had the backyard and his outside third, so he moved a bit slower than the rest of us as he had about half of a mile to cover. I know it's a big backyard. He was about halfway done when he heard something running around in the other half of the sector that he hadn't cleared yet. He drawed out his crossbow with a regular arrow and fired. Nothing, no noise, no hit. Suddenly two red eyes popped out from inside a bush.

"Shit!" Austin Yelled.

Whatever it was it heard him and ran off.

Matt was checking the Living Room when Austin crackled over the radio talking about some type of monster with red eyes in the backyard. Of course, Matt had some belief in this but not enough to believe in a fast moving 'monster' with red eyes. It's not like the clown had a bag of tricks with friends, right? Besides, we had to worry about the larger picture; that we had to locate a certain area that we could find and terminate the clown. Matt cleared the dining room after the living room and called it in.

As I was searching outside, I heard a faint screeching laugh type sound, but I found nothing. Then, out of nowhere two red eyes in a bush and out pops a teddy bear with large, sharp, bloody teeth. I fire off a few rounds from my M-4 and the teddy bear runs away and I lob a frag grenade. As if in slow motion the grenade flies and lands a couple of feet right in front of the teddy bear. It explodes and sends chunks of flesh and stuffing everywhere within a 2-foot radius of the explosion.

"Hey Bravo-1." I say as I call Austin.

"Yes?" He Responds.

"I found that monster of yours."

"Well, what was it?"

"A small teddy bear with sharp bloodied teeth."

"You serious Alpha-1?" Matt calls in.

"Yeah. Killed it with a grenade when it tried to run. Flesh and stuffing went everywhere."

"Damn."

"Anyone else find anything?"

"No." Austin responds.

"No." Matt responds.

"Roger. Out." I say as I exit the conversation.

I start to wonder;what if this clown has tricks up his sleeve?
