Trigger warning for depression and suicide:

A teenage girl walked down the street in a nice little neighborhood in Queens. Not odd, until you consider the fact that she was doing this at two in the morning. She walked up to one of the houses, not very big, but not too small either. She pulled a key out of her pocket and unlocked the door, walking inside and shutting the door behind her. "I'm home!" she called out. There was no response. "Pete?" She walked up the stairs, feeling increasingly uneasy. She got to the door of her brother's room and knocked. "You in there bro?" Still nothing. "Okay, I'm coming in. You better be decent." She opened the door and her heart dropped. There was her brother, laying on the floor in a puddle of his own blood. "Nononononono. Please no." She feel to her knees beside him and began frantically searching for a pulse. Finding nothing, she pulled him into her lap, and Theresa Parker let herself cry for another lost family member.

May Parker had a wonderful weekend with her friends. They had done all sorts of fun things. But now it was time to get back home to her niece and nephew. She didn't like leaving them but they had each other, they could take care of themselves. She had gotten back late, at about three in the morning. They would be asleep, but she would make them some wheat cakes in the morning. As she planned the breakfast she was going to make for the kids, she saw something that was every parent's worst nightmare. Police cars, an ambulance, and a fire truck were sitting outside her house. She ran past the police yelling for her to get back, barely even noticing. She ran into the living room and was met with a shocking sight. Nick Fury was standing in her living room, along with multiple SHIELD agents. On the couch, Theresa sat with her and Peter's friends, crying into Ava's shoulder as the other girl tried in vain to comfort her. Danny had a comforting hand pressed to distraught teenager's back, and Luke and Sam occasionally whispered something they hoped would help. May's blood ran cold. Where was Peter?

Theresa couldn't believe it. This was not supposed to happen. After finding Peter on the floor everything became a blur. She was barely aware of someone pulling her away from her brother's body, of being picked up and placed in someone's lap. She vaguely registered arms wrapping around her and a hand pressing against her back. She wrapped her own arms around the person who's lap she was sitting on and sobbed into their shoulder. Wait a minute, when did Aunt May get home? Was she yelling at Fury? She looked up and through the haze of tears she could see it was Ava who was hugging her. Luke had probably been the one to take her to the couch. Damn it Luke. The boys knew she had a crush on Ava, even if she denied it. Suddenly reality came flooding back in as her aunt began crying. They had told her. Theresa buried her face into Ava's neck. This wasn't happening. She would wake up any minute now and everything would be fine. Her brother would be fine. But deep down she knew the truth. He was gone. Forever.

Peter and Theresa Parker were twins. Two peas in a pod. Always together. Their Uncle Ben liked to call them Thing 1 and Thing 2. As they got older they stuck together against bullies, creepy dudes who wouldn't take "I'm lesbian" as an answer, and eventually even criminals and supervillains as Spider-Man and Spider-Girl. They both had some pretty serious depression, especially since Uncle Ben died. But they had been doing better. They were supposed to be getting better. So why had Peter done it?

Aunt May knew now. Theresa didn't care. She hadn't moved from her spot on Ava's lap. Spider-Girl, Spider-Man, what was the point? Her brother was gone. Everything else was irrelevant. She had stopped crying but hadn't lifted her head. Ava didn't complain. Danny kept his hand on her back, and now Theresa realized he was using his powers to help her calm down. She would have to thank them later. But right now she was too emotionally and physically drained to do anything. Her friends understood. Suddenly Theresa's head shot up. "Fuck." She started scrambling for her phone. With shakey hands she found the contact she was looking for and hit the call button. He needed to know. And she was the only one who knew to tell him.

...

A head rolled down the sidewalk. Weird right? Not for this guy. Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool. He wiped his bloody katana on his pants and put it away. He was thinking about getting some Mexican food when his phone rang. The screen read "Less Awesome Spider Booty". He laughed at his own joke and answered the call. "Hello, to what do I owe the pleasure of getting a call from my second favorite spider?" To passers-by, what happened next was slightly terrifying. The famous merc suddenly went ramrod straight before just disappearing. More than one person had nightmares that night.

When Deadpool randomly appeared in the Parker living room the reaction was instant. Fury and his agents whipped out their guns and the Ultimates sprang to their feet as Ava pulled Theresa closer. The spider shoved her way out of her friend's tight grip, running to the merc and jumping into his arms. She started babbling about what had happened as he hugged her back, telling her it would be alright. To say everyone else was confused would be an understatement. Fury was the first to demand an explanation, which was quickly deflected by Theresa. "None of  your business." Ava asked next, which caused Theresa to hesitate. Wade sighed. "Might as well tell them the truth. I'm Peter's boyfriend." Chaos followed.

If you had walked into the room right at that moment, you probably would have slowly backed away, then turned and ran once you got a safe distance away. Upon hearing Wade's sudden confession Fury pulled the trigger on his gun. Theresa grabbed Wade and jumped up to the ceiling, covering him as she stuck there. Everyone started yelling at once. It was chaos. Above the voices Theresa called out, "EVERYONE SHUT UP!" It worked as silence blanketed the room. She slowly lowered Wade onto the floor before jumping down herself. "Okay, I know this sounds bad-" "You knew!?" "Yes Sam, I did know, now shut up." Theresa and Wade explained everything, and hearing the whole story calmed everyone down pretty quick. They were still a little on edge, it was Deadpool after all, but they were mostly back to normal now. Which meant that the reason they were all there that night was remembered. Wade went over to Peter's body, pulling the teen hero into his lap the same way Theresa had done when she found him. He rubbed his thumb against the cold face, leaning down to kiss Peter's forehead as he started to cry. Theresa walked over to him, crouching down and placing her hand on Wade's shoulder. They cried together. And they weren't the only ones.

...

The funeral couldn't have been on a better day. At least to Theresa. It was cold and raining and dark, exactly how her mood was. It was perfect for such a sad occasion. She tried not to think back to that night, but she couldn't help it. The memory was burned into her mind forever. They had gone to SHIELD a little while after Wade got there. She had fallen asleep laying her head on Ava's shoulder. The other girl had barely left her side since the team had come to the house. Theresa was grateful. It had been a week since then, and Ava was still glued to her side. Wade was glued to the other. He was having a really hard time with it himself, but was still trying to help Theresa. Just like everyone else. Theresa tried to help the others too. It was hard. One night she had a nightmare which triggered a panic attack. Ava had helped her sit up while Wade got her some water for when she calmed down enough to drink. When she did her hands were still shaking, so he helped her hold the cup to her mouth. She felt bad. What kind of hero was she that she needed help sitting up and drinking a glass of water? Weak. But she couldn't help it. She was a mess. Now, as she stood in the cemetery under the umbrella Wade was holding, hugging Aunt May with one arm as Ava held her other hand, she didn't even have it in her to cry.

For Ava, everything felt wrong. From the moment Theresa called her barely able to speak through her tears she knew something was up. She never would have imagined this though. She stood under the umbrella holding Theresa's hand and looked over at her. She wasn't crying. Ava knew all her tears had already been spilled and now there was nothing left but empty sorrow. It made her sad. She really liked Theresa. She never wanted to see her so down. She looked up to the cloudy sky. 'Why did you have to go Peter? Why?'
