Growing Up For Their Destiny

On a warm and light-filled, but also dark and gloomy, night of the year, two girls were born into the little island village of Tusa. The newborn twin daughters to Chief Rakata and Chieftess Azuna, rulers of Tusa. One was born with bright sea blue eyes and golden blonde hair who was named Racheela and the other was born with bright forest green eyes and midnight black hair who was named Azimalie.

As they grew up, their parents always wondered why their hair and eyes were the way they were but they didn't care because they loved their daughters with all their hearts (even though they were still very curious). Soon enough, the village healer discovered the truth in one of her old healer books. The old, little healer rushed as fast as she could to the chief and chieftess' house where they were outside playing on the grass out the front of their house with their daughters. She didn't want to bother them at that very moment because the family of four looked so peaceful together. But she knew that if she waited too long, the girls' powers would emerge and they would start to familiarize themselves with their incantations for their powers. She had to tell them but she figured she would get to that matter tomorrow.

True to her word, she went back the next day from her own healer house to the chief and chieftess' to tell them why their daughters were the way they were. But once she got there she saw that it was too late but still early enough to warn the family of the girls' emerging powers. That day when she arrived she saw the very thing that she was dreading even after just finding out the truth the very day before. She saw that the girls' true personalities were emerging, ever so slowly though. Azimalie was all dark and gloomy looking and keeping all to herself under a tree, whereas Racheela was all happy, bounding around in the very tree that Azimalie was sitting under. The healer felt that she shouldn't wait another second or chaos would soon take place between the twins. So she did the most logical thing that she could think of to get the chief and chieftess to listen to her... she just rushed through the front door without a care in the world. Once she got into the house she called out as best as she could for her old age, for the chief and his wife. "Rakata! Azuna! I discovered why the twins' hair and eyes are the way they are!"

At the sound of the door being thrown open and their village healer's voice calling out to them about the truth, Rakata and Azuna rushed into the room as fast as they could. Azuna spoke up first, sounding equally excited and nervous as she said, "You found it out? You found out why the girls look the way they do? Really?"

"Yes my dear. I have. Now this will be very shocking to you so you both might want to take a seat over here." They both compiled and sat down on the wooden sofa across from their healer, and she began to speak again. "I have discovered their truths. Their hair and eyes look just like how the old tribe of Willia in the east. I found it in one of my old books that tells that they truly indeed have what I thought they had at birth. They are going to have to learn to control it but they are fast learners as it already is and they will have to start their training at the age of 16 when everything finally emerges from them and makes it known."

"What are you saying? Are they ok? Are they... they... Please just tell us what is wrong with them or something. Please." claimed Rakata from next to his wife.

"Oh, my dears, there is nothing really wrong with your girls. It's just that they have magical powers. I'm afraid that the one that may not be able to control her powers much as the other is Azimalie because she has what the old people of Wilia called dark or moonstone powers. To be able to control her powers fully, she will have to find her moonstone opal on the island of Wikalia."

"But what about Racheela? Won't she have to find something similar to Azi to control her powers?" asked Azuna frightfully for her daughters' sakes.

"Racheela will be fine. Calm down there missy. She will also have to travel to Wikalia with Azimalie to find her sundrop stone to help her control her powers. When the girls are together with their powerful jewels, they will be able to control their powers and use them at their own will without them going haywire. They will be fine. As they grow up they will have different personalities than the other. Azimalie will be kind of dark and gloomy and will probably keep to herself. She will most likely like the color black. Racheela will be the exact opposite. She will be light and go with the flow of things and will be very outgoing and probably like the color blue." finished the healer.
