Chapter 3 Best Night Ever

Today was the day of the dance Spike just got his license and since Twilight wasn't going he was taking her car to the dance. I decided to wear my normal attire some black slacks with a white shirt and a vest. Instead of black this time I wore purple because it is Rarity's favorite color. I just had to wait for twilight to get back form cleaning it. He was so happy when Rarity said yes I virtually fainted. Well I did faint but in a manly macho sort of way. Not at all girlly. I just fell flat on my back.

~FLASHBACK~

"Yes spike of course I will go to the dance with you" said rarity. Everything went black in my vision I didn't remember anything. I awoke in the nurse's office with Rarity holding my hand and a massive headache and a numbing light in my eyes. I knew Twilight wasn't going to be there because she loves school too much to sit in the nurse's office with me while she misses class. I sit up in the bed with my free hand on my head in the other in rarities "ow fainting hurts" I say earning a chuckle from everyone in the room. I look over to Rarity feeling her soft hand in mine and I start to blush. She looks over at me and blushes to. The nurse comes over to me with some bandages and raps them around my head I feel some of the pressure release from my head. "Gosh that was an awful fall you had this morning Spike darling" says Rarity to me with worry in her tone. "Well Rarity I've liked you for a long time and for you to say that you would go to the dance with me it was unbelievable" I say to her blushing and smiling. I look into her bright blue eyes and they just gaze into my green eyes. At this moment I wish I could kiss rarity so bad and you know what she does she leans over and kisses me. I was shocked for a moment then I leaned into and just let it happen. We sat there and kissed for two minutes until we were interrupted by the nurse walking in with an ice pack for my head. When we pulled apart we were blushing madly both of us the looks on our faces and in our eyes. WOW I felt amazing after that I felt like I could take on the world. The nurses looks over to us as we stare into each other's eyes and says with a smile "looks like Rarity is a better nurse then I am."

~FLASHBACK OVER~

I was pushed out of thought by the sound of a familiar car horn going off. I shake off the thought still holding it in my head smiling as I walk to Twilights car. "OK Spike I am trusting you with my car so don't crash it or anything ok" says Twilight holding out the keys for me to take. "Like I am actually going to crash your car with the love of my life in the car you are so smart Twily" I say to her with a serious look on my face taking the keys. I get into the driver seat starting the car and letting down the passenger side window. Are you sure you don't want to come Twilight" I say to her through the passenger window. "No Spike go have fun with Rarity before I change my mind about letting you use my car" she says to me with a small smile and a joking look on her face. "OK by Twily" I say to her reversing out of the driveway and onto the street. I head down the street of our street because Rarity only lives a few houses down. I pull up to her house pulling in the driveway and stopping the car. I turn off the ignition and hop out the car. I walk up to Rarity's Front door and hold the flowers in my hand. I knock on the door and to my surprise and anxious Sweetie Belle answers. "Oh it's just you the guy here for Rarity" she says to me looking annoyed after to figures that I'm not the guy she was waiting for. "Uhm ya is Rarity ready yet" I say to her looking inside the house. "Um I think she is you may come in" she says "RARITY YOUR DATE FOR THE DANCE IS HERE" she screams after inviting me in. I stand at the bottom of the stairs with my hands on my pocket. After a good thirty seconds I see an alluring Rarity at the top of the stairs with something amazing on and the way she has her hair setup I almost fainted again but I couldn't miss the dance so I stood my ground and stared at her with my mouth wide open. She was wearing a violet dress that had three little diamonds on the bottom of them and they were shining bright her heels looked about three inches her flowing purple hair was in a pony tail. "Rarity y...y...y...you look breathtaking" I said trying to breathe air into my lungs. "Do I really darling Spikey Wikey" she says to me coming down the stairs. Even as she walks down the stairs she looks like and angel floating down like she doesn't even need to walk just glide down them. When she gets to the bottom of the stairs I hold my arm out for her to take. As she takes it we walk out of the door and to car. I open the door for her to get in the passanger door. As i walk over to my side of the car so i can drive us to the dance. I open the door easing into my seat. "well you ready for the dance" i say to her while starting the ignition in the car. As we take off to the school and to the dance in twilights car i just realized how girlly this car looks. When we arrive at the dance we know immediatly that this will be fun. When we walk in we are greeted by the party person Pinkie Pie. When we get to the dance floor it was packed with people dancing and talking and just having fun. When I walked in with rarity I could feel the eyes of everyone mostly jealous guys and girls who wanted to ask Rarity burrow into me. I nod to every one giving me an evil glare. I'm not gonna let then ruin my night with Rarity and an extra plus my favorite DJ was playing tonight. "This night is gonna be perfect" I say to Rarity taking her out onto the dance floor. As Vinyl mixes the songs making wubs and tolerating the shit out of them me and Rarity dance the night away. As we move on the dance floor it feels like it is only us and the music. We dance that's it just dance. As the music slows down I pull Rarity closer to me putting one of my hands in hers and the other on her waist. I let her other arm fall on my shoulder and her eyes looking into mine our eyes locking in place as we stare into each other's eyes. When the song ended and principal celestia came on the Mic to dismiss us. "Hello students of canterlot high and there dates this was the first event of this year and it was a big success and I hope we can have a lot more" a big cheer exploded from the crowd. After a speech from the principal we all exit the gym and go out to the car. I walk hand in hand with Rarity. When we get to the car I open the passenger door and let her get in and close her door. I walk over to my side and get in starting the car and closing the door. We pull out of the school parking lot and start on our way to the way to Rarity's house. As we pull into her driveway. I stop the car. "Tonight was fun Rarity and I enjoyed it so much I wish it doesn't have to end" I say to her looking into her eyes. "Well spike do you want to come in for a while" she says to me. "Of course I would love to but this is twi's car and I have to be home" I say to her. "Aw Spikey-Wikey darling please for just a few minutes" she says batting her eyes. "Aw Rarity you know I can't say no to you fine but only for a few minutes" I say opening my door and getting out. We walk up to her door with Rarity and her keys in her hand. When she opens the door we walk up to her room quietly not to wake up her sister. When we get up to her room and open the door we walk in closing the door behind us. I sit on her bed. Its comfortable and just right for her. She sits on the bed next to me. We sit and look into each others eyes and we share a passionate kiss and that is all I remember from my best night ever.
