SIXTEEN

The lights were turned off and I was holding the cake in my hands while standing just few steps away from the door, waiting for him to arrive. Jin called us and told that they will be reaching any minute now. All the other guests, like, huge business owners, models, and celebrities and other artist stood at the extreme back while the close friends stood just behind me with Jimin.

We heard the front door open and every one started to sing the birthday song. The lights were lit up and there stood Taehyung, with a huge smile on his face, in front of me. He came forward and I asked him to cut the cake and he gladly followed. Everyone cheered for him. All his close friends pulled him in a hug and started decorating his face with the icing of the cake. Few seconds later, his face was completely covered with fondant and stuff. Everyone started laughing and the time was going well until he suddenly planned on ruining me.

He came running towards me and engulfed me in a hug rubbing his cheeks on my face, which made me look like a clown. We both were covered with cream.

"Aishh, idiot.", I said, frowning.

"Aww, even today you gonna call me idiot. Not fair.", he said while pouting like a baby.

"Haha, you are cute. Anyway, go and wash your self up and I have kept your gift in your room. Wear that and come down.", I said why blushing slightly.

"Aww, thank you sweetheart. I will wear what you bought."

He pulled away from the hug and faced the crowd who were laughing and talking with each other.

"May I have your attention guys?! I would appreciate if you suit yourself and have fun. I gotta go wash and change my clothes. I am all ruined you see.", he said while looking down at himself and the crowd cheered and burst out laughing.

With that said, he went to his room and I went to the guest room. Even I had to change as he literally ruined my dress and face as well. The guest room was also on the first floor where the boys' bedrooms were.

I changed my clothes and came down only to find everyone wilding on the dance floor. The music was loud as hell and almost everyone was drinking and dancing. My eyes roamed around the room and I immediately spotted Jimin dancing with some random girls and Jin just chilling on the sofa while drinking with few other guys. I was searching for Taehyung, but he was nowhere to be seen. I thought he might take time to freshen up as his condition earlier was really bad. I had one or two shots of Vodka and was sitting by the bar.

It has been almost thirty minutes now and Taehyung was still not present here. Memories from the last party I attended suddenly rushed through my mind. What if, he is doing the same thing that Jungkook did to me? What if he leaves me? We were not a couple, neither we have any love relations with each other, but the way we acted and showed emotions towards each other, it was certain that we would be officially dating soon. I waited for few more minutes and then decided to check up on him.

I walked to his room and slowly turned the knob and the door opened.

TAEHYUNG'S POV
{earlier}

I opened the door of my room and saw a cute little bag on my bed. I went in and took the bag and looked inside only to find a box that is wrapped up in a very cute gift wrap. I slowly took it out and removed the gift wrap. On opening the box, I saw it was a cute sweater from Gucci. She knows what I like and that is the best thing about her.

I put it on my bed and went to take a quick shower. As I came out of my bathroom, I quickly did my hair, wore that sweater and was about to step out, when the door suddenly opened and I saw a girl enter.
