Room of Requirement;

"I can't believe you're all going home, what the hell am I supposed to do for two weeks?" I pouted, staring at my three friends who were saying goodbye.

Alex and Wren bombarded me with a big hug. "Don't worry, we'll owl you every day," Wren smiled as he pulled me into a hug.

"Yeah, you better!" I joked.

They all gave me one last hug with promises to write to me every day which I was somewhat happy for. Alex and Miranda offered to stay but I didn't want them to stay for me, they missed their families too much.

"I'll miss you all," I shouted as the door closed.

I sighed, looking around the empty common room. Thankfully, Hannah is staying here which I'm happy about so I won't be alone. I'm too scared to sleep in that room alone.

- A few Days Later -

There weren't that many people that stayed behind for Christmas, this year. A lot of the muggle-borns stayed due to everything happening outside of these castle gates - I felt horrible.

My parents practically forbade me from coming home this year since they won't be home for Christmas. I wanted to go home, I missed my home, but staying in would've been a lot better.

"Hey, Y/n!" I look up to see Dean and Hannah walking over to me, waving.

"Hey, guys. What brings you here to the Hufflepuff table, Dean?" I chuckled as I set aside the book I was reading.

"Not many people stayed behind, bumped into Hannah as I was leaving and she forced me here," he explained.

I looked at Hannah as I laughed a little. "Why are you here?" She asked, grabbing some pancakes and waffles.

"My parents had work stuff. I can't go home," I pouted but quickly regained myself.

"That sucks! My mum's frightened for me to come home, said I'd be better protected here," she frowned.

Dean nodded his head, taking a cereal bowl, "My parents didn't want me coming either. I got a little mad, I mean, what the hell am I going to do here?"

"Well, you have us and this huge castle to do whatever," I stated and they chuckled.

We spent the next hour or so just catching up and talking about our plans for the future if we even have a future.

I was in the middle of a laughing fit as Dean was telling us a story from last summer. As I calmed down, I looked up to see a very stressed blonde rushing out of the door.

"Oh- My- Guys, will you excuse me for a moment?" I breathed as I excused myself from the table.

"Hurry up, wait till you hear about the rat," Dean yelled after me and I gave him a thumbs up.

I sped up my pace, beginning to jog as I looked for Draco. I noticed a flash of blonde hair walking into a corner and I quickly followed after him.

Despite being day, the hallways still crept me out as there was barely anyone here.

After 6 flights of stairs - took a while for me to gain my breath back - I finally made out to see Draco walking into the room of requirement.

"The room of requirement? Again?" I thought to myself, staring as the door began to disappear.

Making sure I wasn't followed, I walk up to the door in a hurry. I paced back and forth, thinking if it's such a great idea - I mean, why is what he does any of my business.

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and once I reopened them, the doors appeared in front of me.

I opened the doors as quietly as possible and walked inside only to be met with a whole load of JUNK.

Books, newspapers, brooms, clothes, mould, desks, chairs - you name it.

I could hear faint whispers and I tiptoed around the room before I quickly hid behind a box of used books - Draco Malfoy doing a spell on a worn-out cupboard.

"Harmonia Nectre Pasus..."

I inhaled a sharp breath as he stopped for a second and looked around. Well, crap!

Shaking his head, he takes out a book and examines it. I lean in closer to have a look at what that book is but unfortunately for me, I toppled over the boxes and fell right in front of him.

"What the fuck?" He yelled. I looked up to see his wand pointing right at me.

"Please put your wand away," I sigh and remove the books off of me so I can stand up.

Once I managed to get back on my feet, I notice he still had his wand drawn at me as his nostrils flared with hatred.

"Why the fuck are you following me?" He spat, breaking the silence.

I held onto my arms, looking down at the floor as I didn't know what to say. "I'm fucking talking to you," he raises his voice which makes me flinch.

"I-I I wanted to see what you were doing in here," I squeaked.

I heard a scoff eject from his mouth, "For a Hufflepuff, you're so fucking nosy."

I looked up and stared at him, he was right I was nosy but I had no explanation for my nosiness.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

Just as I was apologising, he stormed over at me and shoved me hard against a desk as he held his wand at my throat.

"You'll go back and forget you ever saw me, Monet. Or else, it won't end nicely for you," he snarled, his breath making the hairs on my neck tickle.

I gulped as I looked away from him, staring at the book which I can finally make out to be a book on how to fix the broken cupboard.

Shoving him away, I walk up to the book and grab it. "You're fixing this cupboard?" I asked quite intriguingly.

"Don't fucking touch!" He snapped and yanked the book out of my hands.

"My grandfather used to fix magical items like these, I may help," I smiled at the boy.

He scoffed as he took a seat on one of the desks, "Why the fuck would I want your help?"

"Because you seem frustrated. I just feel bad. I know, after what you did to me. Also, I'm bored," I explained.

He stared at me before rubbing his temples and taking a sharp breath, "Fuck it! Okay, Monet. Fix it."

"First of all, stop with the swearing. There really is no need," I scowled.

He tried to hide his laugh, "Next, mother."

"Second, we will start tomorrow. I made plans with friends today," I smiled as I pat my jeans.

"Oh fuck off. You don't get to orde-"

I walked over to him and scowled, "Without my help, you probably won't have that fixed."

"Fine. See you tomorrow then," he spat and I smiled.

"Very well, you should go get some sleep. You seem a little tired," I softly smiled at the boy and walked out before I heard a rude remark come out of his mouth.

Once I arrived at the Great Hall again, Hannah and Dean were still there, talking. "What'd I miss?" I smile as I take my seat.

"Just in time, I was about to tell Hannah the story of how I frightened this muggle," Dean snorts, laughing before he even had the chance to speak.
