Recap- "Whatcha thinkin' about?" He took in a deep breath,
"I'll show you." I was about to ask him when he meant but he bent down and our lips connected, my eyes widened and my mind went blank, before I knew it, I was kissing back. He lent away, I noticed that he was smiling. I realised then that my face must have been as red as a tomato. I turned away, trying to hide my blush, he chuckled,
"Ayame, look at me for a second." I sheepishly turned towards him,
"Hai Sasuke-kun?" He took in a deep breath,
"W-Will you go out with me?"- End recap
ONTO THE STORY!!!!
I didn't answer, I just stared at him, I suddenly burst out laughing which ended with me clutching my stomach in pain while Sasuke sweat dropped,
"Y-Your not serious?" I asked through gritted teeth, damn pain, making me.... well....be in pain.... He sighed and stood up, "Wait! Where are you going?!" I asked, he turned to face me, his eyes showed sadness,
"Out." I tried to ask him to stay but my stomach was hurting too much, before I knew it, Sasuke was gone. Was he serious? He wanted to go out with someone like me? The great Uchiha, with me? I didn't move for who knows how long, just thinking of Sasuke. Eventually Tsunami came in to change my bandages but I didn't say much then either. She looked at me worried,
"Are you feeling ok? If you're not tell me! I don't want you to-" I shook my head quickly,
"No no that's not it." I looked at the ground sadly; I could trust this lady right? I sighed, "It's just, Sasuke asked me out and I laughed at him." She paused,
"Well.... I don't think that's a very nice response, if you don't like him you could've just said no-"
"But I do like him!" I exclaimed, I quickly covered my mouth, I felt my face going hot, I like Sasuke, I've never said it out loud before. Tsunami sighed,
"That may be but if you laughed at him you probably hurt his ego. It takes a lot of courage to ask someone out." I looked at the ground,
"I know." How many times have a contemplated asking Sasuke out but once I approached him I backed out of it, "Am I allowed out of bed?" Tsunami nodded,
"Hai, but only if you're feeling well enough." I nodded and tried to get up, a searing pain went through my stomach and I hissed in pain, "Carful!" Tsunami scolded, I smiled and held out my hand so she could help me up. She took my hand and slowly stood me up, I winced but put on one of my fake smiles,
"A-Arigato Tsunami." She nodded,
"Do you need help getting dressed?" I quickly shook my head,
"No no! I'm fine; I don't wanna be a hassle!" I smiled and took a step, almost immediately the pain in my stomach increased tenfold. I gritted my teeth and tried to find something for support, something grabbed onto my arm to keep me up, I looked to see what it was. It was Tsunami, she had a disapproving look on her face,
"You and your father are one of a kind." I looked at her confused,
"What do you mean?" Her eyes softened,
"Did Sasuke forget to tell you?" I didn't answer, I didn't know what the heck she was talking about, she sighed, "Your father collapsed because he used too much of his chakra." My breath hitched,
"I-Is he ok?!" She nodded,
"Yea, he just needs some rest. He's more worried about you then he is himself." I smiled, "Don't forget you need to get dressed, and from what I just saw you are getting help." I sighed.
When I was finally dressed, Tsunami allowed me to look in one of her mirrors. She didn't want me wearing my ninja outfit because that was too heavy to carry in my condition so she dressed me in a simple black and white kimono. I smiled,
"It's beautiful! Arigato Tsunami-chan." She smiled and nodded her approval. She handed me a set of crutches and let me out of the room. She helped me down the stairs and led me into a room which held a tired Sakura, a bored looking Naruto, a crippled Kakashi and Tazuna napping silently. Everyone except Tazuna looked my way. A grin slipped onto my face,
"Hey everyone." Sakura's face turned to shock,
"You look horrible!" I pouted,
"Why thank you Sakura for that encouraging piece of information." I sighed,
"A-Are you ok? There was a lot of blood." Naruto whispered, I nodded,
"I'm alright." I looked down at Kakashi and smiled,
"Hey old man." He saluted, I then looked around the room, "Where's Sasuke?" I asked, Sakura shrugged,
"He left about three hours ago but hasn't come back." I nodded, so it's been three hours since that little incident,
"Yea, he seemed even angrier then he normally is." The guilt that I had forgotten about came back, I was the reason why he's so angry, I probably hurt him bad, he probably hates me no-
"Alright everyone, I can guess where Sasuke went and we're gonna join him." Kakashi spoke, interrupting my depressing thoughts, "We're gonna go practice chakra control." I nodded and started to head for the door,
"Wait! You're not ready to leave yet." I looked back at a worried looking Tsunami, I smiled at her,
"Arigato but I'm alright. I've been through worse, I am ninja after all." Ok, that was a lie; this is the worst I have ever been by far! Of course I'm not gonna tell her that though, I don't want to worry her even more then she already is. That seemed good enough for her because she didn't say anything else as I hobbled out the door. My mind was set on Sasuke as we slowly made our way through the forest, sure enough, we started to hear the sounds of grunting and when we came to a clearing Sasuke was falling from the tree,
"So this is what you're practicing." Kakashi nodded,
"But I want you to sit out."
"WWWWHHHHYYYYYYYY????" I whined,
"Because you're hurt." I pouted,
"And you're not?" He sighed,
"Ayame, you can't do your training like you are." I smiled hopefully,
"I can try." He shook his head,
"Focus on healing; you won't be much use on this mission if you keep opening your wound." I rolled my eyes and spun around,
"I ain't an object Kaka sensei." I heard him chuckle as I made my way to a fallen tree. I sighed in content as I sat, I hadn't realised how much strain it put on my body to stand. Kakashi called out to Sasuke; turns out he wanted him to take a break. Sasuke reluctantly agreed, his eyes flickered to me, I watched him hopefully, I really wanted him to sit by me so I could apologise. My hopes where thrown out the window when he sat on the other side of the clearing under a tree. I looked at the ground sadly, I then decided to take my mind off him and focus on healing like Kakashi said, apparently I heal pretty fast, about half the time of a ninja recovering. A ninja recovers twice as fast as a non ninja and I recover faster than a ninja, I thought about it, how long would it take me?
"About 4 days." I concluded, yes, that is a long shot but it's good to keep a positive mind. I then looked up to look Sasuke over, his dark hair was messy due to him constantly training and his skin was covered in scratches from the branches. He looked beautiful even in the state he was in. He glanced up and I froze, I swear I saw forgiveness in his eyes but that soon went away as he stood up and made his way to Kakashi, he seemed to ask something and Kakashi nodded. He then returned to his tree to continue training. I gritted my teeth; this was going to be a long day.
