It was a beautiful day.  The sun was shining the birds were singing and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  All of the pups were playing except Chase.  He was sitting in his pup house watching the others play.  Midway through playing he had gathered the attention of a certain gray mix.  "What's his problem?" Rocky asked Marshall. Marshall just shrugged.

"I don't know go ask him." Marshall said.  Rocky thought for a moment before agreeing to the idea..  He made his way over to Chase.  "Hey Chase what's going on?" He asked.  Chase looked up at Rocky and blushed a little. "Huh?" Chase asked.

"What's all the sulking about?" Rocky asked.
"Nothing. Just tired is all. I stayed up to late last night." Chase said yawning.
"If you were tired why did you wake us up?" He asked Chase.  Chase shrugged.  "I don't know. Force of habit maybe?" Chase said.  Rocky nodded in agreement.  "Alright get some rest and come play with s when you can okay?" The mix said. Chase smiled and Rocky went about his day.

"Why did I get so embarrassed just talking to him?" Chase asked himself. As he let his thoughts drift he was approached by Skye.  "Hey Chase." She said.  He turned and looked at her.  He had the sudden feeling of butterflies in his stomach.  It was the same feeling he had with Rocky.

"Oh. H-hey Skye." He said nervously.  "So have you heard?" She asked.
"Heard what?" He asked.  She smiled.
"Everest and Marshall are together now and He's going to visit her over the next week or two." She said happily.

"That's great news." Chase said wagging his tail happily."Yeah he's leaving today, and I was wondering if you could come help me with something?" She asked.  Chase thought for a moment before agreeing.  "Alright, but not too much I'm still tired." He said.

She smiled happily and trotted off.  Chase followed her and helped her move some of the small boxes out of her pup house and to the dumpster.

"I know it's not my business, but what's in the boxes."  Chase asked.  Skye blushed a little before pushing another box out of the house.  "Nothing really. Just some of my old stuff." She said.  "That was the last box."

"Why not give it to Rocky?" Chase asked.
"Some of these boxes have some more 'personal' things in them." She said walking out of the pup house.  Together they pushed the boxes over to the dumpster and tossed them in.

Most of the boxes they had were extremely heavy and Chase could swear he could smell strawberries.  After they got done moving the boxes Skye thanked him and went about her day, but Chase didn't know what to do.

"Well I'm out of bed, now what?" He asked himself.  "Maybe I'll see what Rocky's doing." He said to himself.  He walked inside the tower to go find Rocky.  Inside he found the grey pup reading.  "What are you doing?" Chase asked.  Rocky smiled. "I'm reading Chase. What's up?" He said with a small laugh.  "What is it?" Rocky asked.

"Well I'm out of bed now and I was coming to see if you still wanted to play." He said. Rock looked up at Chase who just smiled nervously.  Rocky put the little plastic book marker in the book then closed it.

"Sure." He said. "What do you want to play?" Chase actually didn't come that far in his thought process. In fact he was sure Rocky would say no.  "Pup, pup boogie?" Chase said.  Rocky let out a playful sigh.  "Come on dude that's not far you're awesome at that game." Rocky said.

"We can do something else." Chase said.  Rocky shook his head.  "Nah I'm just playing let's go maybe I can beat you this time." He said.  Chase smiled and the two rushed off to the top of the tower.   On their way there they ran into Marshall and Everest.  "Hey what's the rush?" Marshall asked.  "Oh we're just trying to get there before we get a call. You know how it is in this funky town." Chase said.  Marshall looked at Chase and smiled.

"Alright, but I'll be leaving soon and i expect goodbyes from my best friends." Marshall said.  The two pups smiled and ran to the top of the tower.  "What was all that?" Everest asked. "I'm the oldest member on this team." He said. "Because of that they all trust me and tell me things. Some times it's about what they think of certain people." She looked at him funny so he just put it off.  "Come on it's a three hour drive to Jake's mountain. If we pack now we can get here before dark."  He said.

"Alright keep your secrets then." Everest said.  Marshall laughed.

"Alright Frodo let get packing." He said as the walking out the door.
