"T-minus two hours until launch. All maintenance crew please finish up with your final checks. Non-essential personnel please report to the Eligius base barricading. Essential crew members please board and take your seats inside the halls of the ship. I repeat, T-minus two hours-"

Turning out the loudspeakers playing over the PA's rigged up sound speakers I duck and dive around military personnel who make up a strong percentage of our forces. Granted with them comes alot of families. I never wanted to break any up so the offer stood to bring them along. With alongside military personal I squeezed through families searching for their seats.

Briefly, I smile at those I've chosen to join my engineering and science division. "I think I spy a little favoritism", Bellamy's boots clamber to my side.

"Social Darwinism", I correct Bellamy, gesturing around at the monkey men "The strong prey on the weaker. The strong- engineers- prey on the weak- your bone head military men."

"It's good to see your people skills are still atrocious." Pausing my stride I give Bellamy an assuring nod when he pauses uncertainly in front of me. Watching after him as Bellamy falls into the crowd, I twirl slyly on my feet to meet Roan's equally cunning grin. Amusement dancing in his gaze, Roan points out "I did hope to cross paths with you again in another lifetime... Avery kom Skaikru."

Admittedly, hearing the greeting from long ago fills me with warmth and familiarity. Wandering over to him, I comment "Been a while since anyone's called me that."

"I saw", Roan appreciatively nods, tapping the back of his neck "Watched the simulation back when it was open to stream. Liked the Azgeda tattoo."

"What can I say", I shrug it off "Your stupid clan grew on me."

Hand out I clasp Roan's forearm and he takes mine. Locked in his firm grip, Roan appreciatively confesses "I know I only made it to Level Four... but thank you for choosing me."
