"I'm tired..." Jungwoo whined as Lucas dragged him out of the dormitory building. The younger sent his boyfriend a small smile, "It's a long drive, baby, I just want to spend as much time there as we can."
A sigh slipped out of Jungwoo, but he couldn't help returning the smile. It was actually quite adorable how excited Lucas was to be going home, and now he was more excited that usual because he was bringing his boyfriend. Lucas burst into his dorm at about seven that morning, waking both his boyfriend and Seonghwa. Since jungwoo had no idea they were leaving so early in the morning, he was quite cranky the whole time he was getting ready to go, but Lucas managed to drag him out.
When they finally made it to Lucas's car, Jungwoo climbed in and curled up in the passenger seat, trying to fall back asleep. He was about to start whining again when Lucas opened his door, but quickly shut up when a blanket was placed on him. The younger leaned in to place a light kiss on his forehead before closing the door and getting into the drivers seat.
Turning the radio almost all the way down, Lucas made sure his boyfriend was comfortable before he started driving.
Before he even had the chance to start the car, Jungwoo reached across the center council and grabbed Lucas's hand. Without saying a word the elder interlocked their fingers and brought their hands to rest on his lap.
"Baby you're really cute and I love you so much," Lucas whispered before quickly starting the car and backing out of the parking spot.
Jungwoo couldn't hide the smile forming on his lips after hearing that. His boyfriend could always make him smile no matter how cranky he was. "I love you," He mumbled before pulling the blanket up to hide himself.
✨✨✨
After about an hour of driving, Jungwoo started to squirm around, not being able to keep himself in the position he was in which made it feel like his lungs were being crushed. He moved around a bit, trying to get comfortable once again, but it was deemed useless as he was more than awake now.
With an unnecessarily loud groan, he kicked the blanket off of himself and crossed his arms. Lucas tried his hardest not to laugh at the boy, knowing it would only upset him further. It was a challenge given the way his eyebrows were knit together so tightly or the fact that his hair was sticking up in every direction.
"Are you awake now, angel?" The younger asked softly, knowing his boyfriend could fall back asleep at any second.
"No. Leave me alone." Jungwoo muttered, not even bothering to look at the boy next to him.
Even though he should've been upset by the answer he received, Lucas was used to it. Whenever his boyfriend didn't wake up by choice, he was very ill-tempered. But even though he acted like he wanted nothing to do with Lucas, the younger could see right through it. He reached over and placed his hand on the boys thigh, squeezing it ever so gently, "Ok, I won't say anything else."
Just as Lucas suspected, a small smile formed on Jungwoo's lips as he looked down at the hand resting on his thigh. There were a couple minutes of silence before Jungwoo was finally ready to function. "Yukhei 'm hungry," the boy said so quietly Lucas almost couldn't hear him over the small hum of the car.
Lucas has to contain the squeal that wanted to escape at how cute the boy was. "I brought snacks or we can stop somewhere."
"Can we go somewhere please?" Jungwoo asked softly as he grabbed Lucas's hand and interlocked their fingers.
✨✨✨
There was no trace of any bad attitude now that Jungwoo's tummy was full of waffles and he was back in the warm car.
Before Lucas committed to driving the rest of the way, he quickly leaned across the center council and gently pressed his lips onto Jungwoo's cheek. The elder looked up from his phone and turned so they were facing each other. There were a couple seconds of them just smiling at each other before Jungwoo finally leaned forward and connected their lips.
A giggle erupted from him as they pulled away from each other. He didn't mean to ruin the moment, but he couldn't take how Lucas's lips tasted so strongly of maple syrup seriously. "Thank you for paying," He said softly, trying to distract the boy from him acting like a child.
Lucas nodded before leaning forward and pecking his boyfriends cheek once more. "We only have about an hour left."
"Do you think your moms going to like me?" Jungwoo asked randomly, not really knowing where the thought had come from. He hadn't really thought much of what Lucas's family might think of him, but he was most worried about what his mother would think.
"I don't see why she wouldn't," Lucas responded simply before starting the car.
"But what if—"
He quickly but his hand over the boys mouth, not wanting him to worry more than he needed to. "Jungwoo, she's going to like you, I know she will. Don't freak yourself out."
Pulling the hand off his mouth, Jungwoo nodded, "Ok, I won't think about it."
A smile spread across Lucas's face at those words. He grabbed Jungwoo's hand and brought it up to his lips where he pressed a small kiss onto the soft skin. "I'm so excited."
"Are you? I couldn't tell." The elder joked, earning a side glare from a driving Lucas.
He pouted, but kept his eyes fixed on the road, "Well now I'm not as excited."
"Oh my poor baby~" Jungwoo cooed as he pinched his boyfriends cheek, "I'm sorry. Be as excited as you want."
"No, you ruined it. I'm sad now."
Jungwoo's bottom lip jutted out slightly when he saw Lucas sulking. "I'm sorry I hurt you feelings, Yukhei. I'm excited too, I get to see where you grew up."
Lucas's face fell at those words, but he covered it up with a smile as fast as he could. "Yeah...where I grew up."
