Its Been A Long Time

Kara beamed as she walked into the glass walled office, careful not to make too much noise while closing the door, she basically tiptoed over to the smooth L shaped desk and stood quietly, waiting for her presence to be noticed.

"I haven't seen you all day, the least you could do is look at me"

She smiled when her wife finally turned in her seat and excitedly made her way around the desk to hug her.

"Kara! I didn't know you would be coming today"

Kara placed a quick kiss on Lenas lips and smiled brighter, gently holding her hips, they didn't get to see each other very often, work had piled up over the holidays and the only time they really got to see each other was after work, so, they spent the late nights enjoying each other for as long as they could before exhaustion started to kick in, they tried using whatever free time they had in the afternoon to sneak quick kisses and small glances, but in the mornings, they'd be lucky if they even got a text from one another, mornings were always too busy.

"I wanted to surprise you, I got Sam to take over, Adam's finishing up her spread sheet, and, I told Jess to clear your schedule so I can take you out on a nice date, I was thinking the park, what do you think?"

"I think I want to let down the blinds so I can give my wife a proper thank you"

Kara watched the dark shades lower around the glass room at the press of a button, a blush made its way to her cheeks when she was pulled into a slightly sensual kiss, the kind of kiss that reminded her of something they hadn't done in a very long time.

They pulled away from the kiss and Lena ran her thumb over Karas bottom lip, smiling at the starstruck blonde.

"It's been a while since we've kissed like that hasn't it?"

"Uh huh"

"I'll just get my things and then we can leave alright?"

She nodded her head and moved out of the way so Lena could gather her things, once she did they walked out of the office together and headed straight into the elevator, which luckily was empty.

"I didn't think I could miss you this much, I mean I see you every day yet it's like I don't see you at all."

Lena sighed to herself, it was actually ridiculous how little they saw each other now, this was probably the first time in a month that they've spent any actual time with one another, they were so exhausted when they came home from work that the only time they spent together at night was sleeping.

"Let's just enjoy the time we have right now okay?"

Kara hummed and grabbed Lenas hand to lead her to the car, of course opening it for her once she got there.

"I still can't believe you're doing this for me, for us really, how long did it take you to plan this?"

"That doesn't matter Lee, I'm just glad I got a chance to do it"

"You're so hard working baby, so attractive, do you know how strong your hands have been getting lately? God Kara I just, I miss you"

"Look who's becoming a sap now, I thought you didn't want to worry about that?"

Lena just rolled her eyes and chuckled at the amused look on her face.

"That's not what I meant and you know it"

"I can't know anything unless you tell me"

"Oh yeah? What would you like me to tell you? Would you like me to tell you how I miss you coming into my office and pleasing me while I work? Or how I miss how gentle you are with me even if you're literally making my body feel like it's going to break? Maybe you want me to-"
