"Look Ushi! It snowed! Finally!"

Tendou ran outside with bare feet, jumping around in the yard and holding his phone above his head. The screen reflected back what was on the ground- three inches of fluffy white snow now partially packed by footprints. In the upper left of the device, a boy of the same age looked mildly confused. This was far from a new occurrence. He spoke with a voice cold seeming and deep.

"I thought that snow was supposed to be cold. What are you doing in short sleeves?"

No matter how scary Ushijima may seem, Tendou knew he was far from mean. That is why he put the phone back near his face, showing the other a jokingly shocked and rather offended face. It proved rather hard to not crack a grin.

"How dare you accuse me, the great Satori Tendou, of getting cold. I'm quite hurt you think I'm so weak."

As he said that, however, his feet were going numb. It took all he had in him not to let his teeth chatter. Once the wind blew, he was done for. Ushijima watched his boyfriend with little to no trace of amusement on his face. He was having a good time even if it did not show on his features. Satori gave in after a few more unbearably chilling moments.

"Okay maybe the great Satori Tendou is cold!" he squealed as he ran into the comforting warmth of his empty home.

While watching the antics, Ushijima put away his books. A large pink tinted window was positioned directly behind his head. The setting Arizona sun crept into his room, casting a soft glow on his house plants. Each of his cream painted walls was lined with polaroids of nature as well as old records he'd finally figured out how to hang. It was a nice aesthetic, simple and refreshing. Nothing brought him more pride then a tidy space. Except maybe his paintings and Satori.

Tendou on the other hand was a mess. He ran through the house loud as can be into the basement. That's where he decided to put his room, not even acknowledging the empty bedroom on the second floor. He'd told his roommate Goshiki it could be a storage room though they both knew neither would care enough to organize it.

He entered the ground floor in a bombastic fashion, neglecting how loud it would be on the other end of the Face-time call. His stone walls had LED lights, stolen road signs, and the paintings Ushi had mailed him displayed. The soft realistic tone of the art didn't match the room well, but Satori hadn't a care in the world. "The more chaotic the better" he would say.

"Ten, did you finish it?"

Ushijima asked while still occupied with his cleaning endeavors. But when he did glance at the camera a twisted smirk crossed the red head's face. The more stoic man recognized this clearly meaning he had finished what he'd been working on. After going off screen for a moment, Satori reappeared to show the other his creation.

"Of course I did. Look! I just drilled holes in the Monster tabs and attached a string of them to hooks. I don't really know where the hooks came from though, they just kinda appeared."

A slight disapproval came across Ushijima's face as he squinted harder at the screen. Tendou began putting the homemade earrings in, severely grossing out the other.

"They're great, but maybe don't put random uncleaned hooks in your ears?" Ushijima stated while visibly cringing.

By now, Tendou was situated in his gaming chair. His knees were to his chest as set up his most recently bought game, Skate3. It was an older game but his last copy broke. With a semi serious face Tendou's attention turned to the brunette once more.

"But that's not a vibe now is it? Anyway, what'd ya mean by you thought snow was cold? You have to have seen snow before. Right?"

Wakatoshi snapped from his thoughts to answer the question. Not like his current concern was important, he was just trying to remember what vibe meant.

"Huh? Oh, no. I'm afraid we don't get snow here. Not in my lifetime at least."

"What!" Tendou exclaimed while only half paying attention. He was somewhat absorbed by editing his advertisement in game, though he was still shocked by the previously stated words.

"I said, 'Huh? Oh, no. I'm afraid we don't get snow here. Not in my lifetime at least.'" The man replied with a serious face.

Suppressing a laugh, Tendou reminded Ushijima once more that "what" doesn't always mean you weren't heard. At the laugh, Wakatoshi instinctively looked up and grinned slightly. He paused however, noticing Tendou's lips were a shade of blue, deep enough for it to pick up over a video call. Though he considered mentioning it, he let it take a back burner for now.

"Anyway Ushi, you should really come up to Maine and see the snow. Oh wait! You'll just 'forget' like every other time. When are you gonna actually come?"

The speaking boy's tone dropped to one of agitation. Who's wouldn't though? They'd been dating since they were fifteen, now each twenty. Yet every time they'd plan to see each other, Ushijima wouldn't show. He also forbade Tendou from coming to him. The excuse of forgetting was long overused by now.

"This December." Ushijima responded. Sure it was a random month, but it was far away enough to make an excuse as to not go if he wanted. It was only early February, he had all the time in the world.

In all honestly, Ushijima was tired of the topic being constantly brought up. Even in casual conversation Tendou would dig into him about them never meeting. Wakatoshi had his reasons though. Reasons he preferred not to discuss with his boyfriend.

"What?" Tendou remarked in an increasingly agitated tone.

"I said this December. I'll remember. I want you to see it when I do, too." said Wakatoshi, clearly trying to keep his composure. He was not one to get mad often, though at the very moment he was getting to that point.

With an eye roll and sigh, Tendou grabbed his phone and spat his last sentence. The subject always made him angry. Even the best day of his life couldn't prevent him having an outburst about it.

"God knows I do."

And with that, the call ended. The noise made Ushijima look back, only to be met with a black screen. He considered calling back, but knew it was pointless. Discomfort grew in his chest at the prospect of the other being so upset. He himself was upset though, drowning out the sympathy for his boyfriend.

Its not like Ushijima could blame Tendou. They'd been able to meet for two years now as they were both adults with jobs. It was always him who'd screwed up the plans. Forgetting was about the most pathetic excuse he could muster. The truth scared him more then his blatant lies though.
