"How dare he. How DARE he try to make another promise I know he won't keep!"
Satori paced his room with his phone to his ear, practically screaming. His teeth chattered slightly as he yelled, unsure if he was cold or just that agitated. His roommate on the other end clearly wasn't expecting such an outburst.
"Yes, Tendou, I know your boyfriend is a piece of crap. But you really need to quiet down, I'm at the store. Just tell me what kind of monster you want and I'll be home soon. I need out of here before the snow is too bad anyway. You are gonna overwork yourself yelling like that. Make some food and lay down."
Goshiki pinned the phone between his shoulder and ear while opening the mini fridge at the checkout. He'd heard plenty about Ushijima before. He quite frankly had enough of the amount of times Tendou got stood up. No amount of cute paintings could fix that.
"He is not! Ugh, anyway you already know what I want. Everyone knows the best kind of monster is the original flavor. Plus I'll be fine! Geez you worry too much. I'll see you soon then?"
"Mhm."
Goshiki hung up the phone before he became more annoyed. Seeing his closest friend so upset always rubbed him the wrong way. Trying to shake it off, he checked out and got in his beat up Jeep. As he drove he mumbled about his frustrations as well as the way original monster tasted of battery acid.
He didn't walk in to a pretty sight.
Burning noodles sat on the stove top, fire still lit under the pot. The box and fork were haphazardly thrown in separate corners of the kitchen as well. Goshiki sat down the bags slowly, trying to get the slightest clue of what happened. The moment the stove handle clicked after being turned, it became obvious. He immediately bolted to the side of his friend, silently praying for the day the nightmare would end.
