this is the video that goes with this short story <3
the library was dimly lit, you and your lover dancing slowly to the ballroom music that you had found earlier while exploring everything. the music almost carried you both in its soft tones soothing your headache that had been caused by how much you were studying for your finals soon to come. you let out a solemn sigh wishing you could stay in this library forever
you continue to dance with him, your thoughts racing with ways and possibilities to stay in this wonderful place. "we can stay here forever, you know?" you whisper into your lovers neck as his hands cradled your waist softly in the most adoring way leading and guiding you to the music, back and forth you both swayed
he lets out a grim chuckle "oh my love, how i wish we could but your time isn't finished yet in the world, you have yet to even finish college" he pulls you closer to his cold chest "i told you i'd protect you and i meant it" he kissed your temple softly, his cold breath sending a small shiver up your spine
you give back a small smile "i know a way" you say as you start to guide the dancing you two were doing, you dance swiftly through the ginormous ballroom around and up the beautiful dusty staircase slowly, each step up making your heart race in anticipation
"and how would that be my love?" he asks slowly as you reach the top of the balcony staircase looking down upon the ballroom, you both continue to dance slowly letting the music guide both of your bodies in a rhythmic pattern
you can hear the music, and now you can almost hear your own heart beating at your rib cage and as the music starts to hit the crescendo of the bittersweet music you pull your lover slightly towards you and whisper into his cold firm chest "twirl me"
he smiles and you look into his ever so lovely green eyes which is what had caught your attention when you first met him and see them sparkle as he twirls you, you twirl into the loose balcony banisters and you see his smile falter then turn into a worried look and you know you'll get into trouble come later but that isn't what your thinking about now.
you whisper "i'll fall." and you feel yourself falling downwards the dusty air around you moving to let you pass and fall down. you look directly up and see the chandler sparkle in the dim lights, you can hear the music continue to play then come crashing onto the ballroom floor, your last thought before the darkness "forever, forever my love"
in death we become immortal, so you weren't really dying, and you weren't falling, you were flying.
