Bed covers hang down and was almost about to fall on the ground from the huge bed, her entire wardrobe was emptied and all her clothes laid on the bed, the pillows of the room seemed to be placed on the tea table, all the closets were opened, her study table no more looked arranged like it usually does and the one who created such a big storm stood by the mirror pulling out all her accessories to check if her lost valuable was there atleast and Alas! much to her disappointed it wasn't there too.
Swara sat on her kness with her face hung down. She was never careless when it came to keeping things but today it was the other way or that's what she thought about herself. Mia sat silently on the couch with a teddy on her lap watching her dear sister making a huge mess out of her room. The little one frowned remembering how she would be scolded even if she misplaces her toys but here it was the otherwise.
Reema walked in and her eyes automatically shot up wide when she saw the cleanest room of the house looking like as if a storm had passed by. On hearing the footsteps, Swara looked up and saw her Reema maasi looking at her confused and worried.
"My chain's missing." Swara whispered once again glancing at every nook and corner of the room as she dropped her head down. She would turn completely crazy if doesn't finds it.
"I saw you wear it when you went out." Reema said thinking deeply trying to remember the events that happened few hours ago. Swara nodded in yes.
"I did, it was there even when I was about to leave the cafe." Swara bit the corner of her lip in frustration. She clearly remembered wearing it like any other day to meet Sanskaar in the cafe and even when she was about to leave she was sure it was adorned her neck since she kept playing with it.
"Maybe you lost it while coming back?" She closed her eyes and huffed. Maybe it was possible, because she was sure it was not in her room nor her house. She even searched for it on the hallway thoroughly along with Mia, who she brided to get chocolates if she help her find it. Seeing Swara going all upset, Reema touched her head.
"You'll get it back, don't worry to much for a mere chain." And Swara nod her head vigorously. It might be just another piece of jewelry which she wears for others but it was not the same thing for her.
"It is not! That's the last gift I got from Aditya bhai. I can never tend to loose it." Her voice chocked. Swara has been keeping the pendent safe for eight years and it has always been an integral part of all her joy and sorrows and loosing it will be like loosing a part of her, her bhai. She promised to keep it safe and no way she was going to give up. It wasn't like her bhai never gifted her after that, he did but she felt as if it came out of force. That's why this pendent plays a vital role for her.
Swara once again walked out of the room to give another check downstairs while Reema maasi looked at her sadly. Mia walked to Reema and extended both her arms, with a smile Reema gladly took the little one in her arms, she knows Mia likes sleeping in someone's arms before being tugged in the bed.
Her phone rang and Swara being very indulged in searching the pendent didn't check the caller id and attend the call.
"Hello!" Sanskaar made faces as he was greeted with a flat tone. He actually called her since Swara hadn't seen the messages he sent and now that her voice lacked the warmth which usually contained made sure that she wasn't in a great mood.
"Swara is everything okay?" Swara sighed, Nothing was okay at all. She already felt a lump forming in her throat and a thin layer of tears glistened her waterline.
"I think I lost my pendent." Swara slumped down on the pillar with her eyes closed trying to control the emotions that was taking toll of her. Sanskaar quickly fished his hands into his pocket and pulled out the chain. Now he get it what the problem was.
