"Yes this looks good AJ." Clementine smiled as she watched the little boy arrange the candles around the blanket that laid on top of the guard tower.
They were currently up there, after Clementine left Violet, she made her way to find AJ and they had a long and nice talk about how his day went and they bonded even more. Though AJ noticed something was a little off with Clementine, he tried to lighten the mood after she gave him a vague answer of what was bothering her.
"I think it looks perfect since it was me who arranged them." AJ said with a smug expression. The time he had spent here with the others in this boarding school has helped him a lot in shaping his personality, he became more mature and a little carefree and very expressive of his thoughts and a little too confident or so to speak.
"Oh is that so?" Clementine chuckled.
He nodded and hummed enthusiastically and Clementine smiled even more at him. They were back to arranging everything they had brought up here.
After they were done, they took a few steps back to admire their work.
"This looks amazing!" AJ let out with excitement, it's safe to say he was probably more excited than Clementine was.
It was a little after sundown and Clementine had started to put her plan into motion with the help of AJ. Getting the stuff up the bell tower hasn't been an easy task but it wasn't impossible either, but they couldn't get any help because Clementine had asked the others to keep Violet distracted and keep her inside the school. Climbing up wasn't that difficult for Clementine anymore because she got used to her prosthetic leg, she had let down a rope with a bucket attached to it so that AJ could fill it up. It was a little too heavy but they managed it together.
"Do you think she'll really like this?" Clementine asked with tenderness just at the thought of Violet and a little worry because she didn't know yet the outcome of her conversation with Jade.
"I think she'll love it." AJ assured her and smiled at her.
"Thanks for helping me goofball."
"Damn." AJ said and rolled his eyes and Clementine couldn't help but laugh at the way he said this.
"What? You don't like it anymore?" She raised an eyebrow.
"No. I never liked it, I'm too old for this." He huffed.
"Too bad you're stuck with it." She nudged him and he sighed in defeat.

Violet was thinking about the events of the day. It had started out greatly but now was turning into a day full of bad feelings and overthinking. She knew she had to hurt Jade's feelings but she couldn't help but think how happy they were this morning and how much they laughed and had fun only for Jade to ask Violet for time and space because of something she couldn't do anything about.
She did understand how hurt Jade must be because she did put herself in her shoes and if Clementine didn't feel the same about her it would devastate her.
She sighed after her long day and made her way to hers and Clementine's room, she was tired but excited to finally see Clementine and find out what will happen tonight. After her conversation with Jade she couldn't manage to find her lover because suddenly everyone had asked her to help them with something, one by one which was a little exhausting but she welcomed the distraction.
She opened the door to their room and smiled as she saw her standing by the desk looking out from the window, the moonlight illuminated her skin and her gentle smile as she turned to face the door, her gaze falling upon Violet with excitement and anticipation.
