I wake slowly, groggy with heavy eyelids. I was swaying slightly, making me want to go back to sleep. The dark sunset showing through the window behind me, causing the room I was in to look more majestic. For a moment I thought I was dead and in Heaven... or Hell...

I tried to lift my head, but it still hurt like a bitch. Thoughts raced in my mind of what had happened, with Hook and Peter. Immediately I feel the urge to cry, knowing my one and only friend was dead. I don't even have the strength to cry, only to take ragged breaths.

I remember my wounds now, I glanced at my arms. They were thickly wrapped in what looked like an ace bandage, the same for my torso and my legs. When I cringed I felt even more bandage over my forehead and something hold my mouth from stretching too far open. I knew I had to have had stitches from Hook's hook. I wanted to bring my arm up, but I couldn't move. I tried to speak, but nothing came out.

I see the door open and Captain Hook walked in.

"Oh. You're alive. Well, mostly anyways." He pulled up a chair next to my hammock bed and sat in it backwards, "It must hurt, doesn't it? Oh, that's just too bad."

I wanted to scream at him so bad, but my throat betrayed me when I opened my mouth.

"Oh! That's right. You can't speak. I forgot." The captain showed fake sadness and pouted like a child.

I bared through the pain, and lifted my hand. It hurt so bad, but I wasn't going to just not insult him. I lifted my middle finger and drew a smirk in my face. It hurt yes, but it made me feel so much happier.

"It's not ladylike to flip someone 'the bird' you know..." Hook seemed to be apathetically concerned, but got over it soon enough.

The door opens again and several more men step inside the sunset room. Right then I noticed I was in an actually beautiful room. It had plush chairs, two in every corner, a large desk with a mirror, a big wardrobe, and there was a rug on the floor with a ship fighting a wild sea embedded in the fibers.

Everything and one had a sunset glow to them. But, who stepped in made it not so majestic anymore. There were about five doctors, I couldn't count because my vision was still jacked up. But ever since I was a kid, I hated doctors. Never trusted them. Still don't. But it's not like I can fight back anyways.

"Oh dear... She's worse today. Her wounds had started to swell and blood is still flowing hard." The first doctor said, he was the only one with a pure white apron on, the others had just white shirts rolled up at the sleeves.

I try to back away as the doctor sits on my hammock, putting a hand to my forehead. "Shes got a fever too." He says to Hook.

"Well, can you do anything?" The captain asked.

"Well, she's not going to die, i'll tell you that, but it's going to take a couple days for her to fully heal. She will be able to walk by tomorrow morning." The doctor stands up and starts towards the door.

That doesn't make sense, I am completely immobilized and they think I can walk by tomorrow, not to mention be fucking healed in two days?

"Alright that's all, you're excused." Hook waved a hand and the doctors walked out.

He stared down at me, pity in his eyes, maybe even regret. I couldn't tell. I seemed to have found some kind of chink in his armor, some bit of softness in the diamond.

"Well, try to sleep. you're going to need it. Tomorrow we will start everything else." He stood and walked out, giving me one last glance before shutting the door quietly.

With the lulling swaying and the darkness outside, I started to drift to sleep once more.
------------

I woke a second time, now the pain wasn't so great, just a soreness all over my body. The sun was shining through the window now, I could see that we were in land, some kind of knoll. I felt someone laying on my stomach, their arm draped across my thighs, their breathing swaying my hammock. I open my eyes and see Ash, asleep. He looked even more attractive than ever. I had a pang of something, maybe pity, but I pushed it down. Then I remember again, him fighting my friend.

Immediately I sit up as fast as I could and shove him off of me. He fell with such momentum that his chair tipped over. I try to move again, but it doesn't work, so I have to just sit there and wait for him to get up.

"Ouch. Jeez, what's wrong with you?" Ash whined, and groaned.

Oh quit'cher belly achin' petty boy.

I still didn't want to try my voice, a small part in me saying that it was still broken. I sit and glare at him.

"What? No insult? Oh, wait, i forgot, you lost your voice. Too bad really." He smirks at me, his blue eyes were so cool, so calm, it was killing me.

I scowl again, starting to bring my hand up to flip him the bird, but my hand abruptly stopped. I look down, and see that it was tied down with rope, both of my hands were, my feet too.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you, we decided that since now you can move, we should probably have a backup plan in case something were to... happen." He smirks at me, my face heating up with anger.

At first I was staying quiet on purpose, but now I was doing it unintentionally . And it was pissing me off. I had to just sit there, glaring as he stood and stared at me, triumph in his eyes. I made a low growl, the only noise i could muster from my throat. Ash looked taken back by the noise, but then he smiled.

Cocky son of a bitch. I thought.

He stood and stretched, flexing as he did so. His muscles showing through his white cotton shirt. Ash smirked at me when he noticed I was staring, only making me feel more agitated towards him. He stopped flexing and picked up his black coat.

"Well, I should go tell my father that you have awaken. Then we can..."Ash paused and looked me up and down for a moment, something unnameable showing through his eyes, "Talk."

I sat there, staring blankly at him as he shoved hit hat on and carried his weapon's belt out the door, closing it softly behind him.

Immediately I look side to side, searching for something sharp. I searched and searched but never found anything useful. I swept the room with my eyes, only to find that everything was just too far away. I was working through my head, many plans, but all of which would have failed. I was working a plan until i gave up and just sat there, tugging at my wrists.

I was laid back now, staring at the wood ceiling. It's details becoming painted in my mind. I was counting the number of dark circles when the door swung open, and Captain Hook walked inside.

"Well. You're awake... again." he paused and stood near my hammock, "So, lets get down to business."
