I smelt them before they heard me...vampires. not the strongest sense of smell but excellent hearing. I knew my purpose. To lead my family to their nests pretending to be an innocent human girl.... Boy were they always wrong.
"Line Up!" Yelled the man who appeared to be in charge. Therindisis was his name I believe. He walked around everyone in the building. They only came here to gather staff recruits and then burned everyone alive when they were done. The humans always believe their stupid lies. Imbeciles. so weak and clueless.
"Hey, You with the weird hair. Come here." Therendisis called me and I knew they had bought the act. I could get away with whatever age I wanted as long as it was between 16 and 30. I needed to be able to drive but never let them guess how old i really was.
"Renny I'm going in" I thought in my mind. My mate would know what I was saying. I had mated with the alpha and become the most important female in the pack besides my mother, the dijionares or healer for my kind. I was prided and loathed and everyone loved me.
"Get in the car little girl. You're gonna be the new maid."
The maid?!?! I was gonna be called a maid?!?! I could handle housecleaner or even janitor but maid I had a problem with!! I kept my mouth shut though. For my family. For my baby girl already pregnant with her own daughter. For Renny. My soul mate.
"Yes sir. May I ask If i will be a maid to anyone particular in the house hold? I've been a maid before and I was simply wondering."
"Polite. Educated I believe. You will be a fine maid for Sir Wesly. He will be your main concern aside from a few small things."
And then I felt the club hit my head and wanting to not reveal my identity i collapsed and blanked myself out.

"Miss?Miss? are you going to stand there all day or should i call Wesly to come order you upstairs?"
Mr. Rodes had been kind to me since I had arrived at the manor some days ago and controlled his desires unlike the other boys in the house. Wolf whistles followed me through the halls of the house when I wore the ridiculous uniform. Not a traditional maids dress noooooo. A black lacy tank top over a blood red corset and an ankle length skirt with cuts all the way up the sides so they could see my thighs and forcing me to wear over the hip thongs so no one would see my underwear. Sir Wesly didn't even really control himself. He ordered my to kiss him every morning when I came in with breakfast . He eyed me like a piece of edible art.
"No I'll be on my way now." And I walked up the stairs to the bedrooms. Wesly wasn't that bad. if it weren't for the fact that I had Renny I might have dated him because he is said to have courted almost every maid in the house. Only I and Piper had not dated due to our own reasons. Mine being I doubted I could leave Renny and her because she disliked him for killing her parents. I walked in the room and kissed him a quick good-morning kiss.
"How would you like to see a movie tonight? I understand it's your night off."
Damn you Alice for talking so loud about my night off tonight.
"I would love to but i can't.
"Why not? And you do relise I could easily change ypour scedule and FORCE you to go right?"
"But you wouldn't do that now would you? You know by now that I prefer the darkness to the light."
I always hid in the shadows when I could. No one ever questioned me.No one ever talked to me aside from a few other maids who were off duty before the days work began.
"And who is to say I wouldn't?" he growled playfully in my ear.
"Me."
I walked out of the room and the day continued as usual. I cleaned the bedroom, cooked his lunch, left it in his room for when he finished his swordplay and went back to my chambers having finished early. I looked up at almost midnight to see the moon shining full.
"Crap" and I was running with the gold dagger tucked into my corset just for emergencies. it wasn't to harm others but to hurt myself when Renny wasn't around at the mating time. The full moon brought out the females lust and desires and the only way to keep them from going full shift was for the males to.......well, to pretty much mate with us from midnight to about 3 in the morning when the moon had disappeared. I had discovered a useful way to stop the shift when they weren't around though. i stabbed my heart and being what I am it merely prevented the shift. No damage done.
