"Mommy please don't take my phone—I won't do it again I promise!""Oh you're going to wish I just took your phone. No Jisung for two weeks!"
Lucas raised a hand to cover his boyfriends eyes so his first impression of his family wasn't his mom and brother arguing. Apparently nobody heard the front door open over the yelling. "H—Hi mom..." Lucas squeaked awkwardly.
The woman froze, when she heard her eldest son's voice. She spun around on her heels and let out an nervous laugh, "I didn't hear you come in—um...I was just...talking to your brother." Her eyes wandered over to the boy next to her son and she gasped. "Oh my goodness he's even cuter in person!"
Jungwoo quickly bowed and reached out to shake the woman's hand, but she surprised him with an embrace. "I'm so glad you came, welcome to our home, honey."
All of Jungwoo's worries melted away at her sweet tone and warm embrace. It was hard to be anxious in such a welcoming environment. Before she could let go, Lucas's brother wrapped his arms around the both of them, joining the hug. "You're too pretty to be dating my brother."
"Mommy make it no Jisung for three weeks!" Lucas whined after hearing his brother's comment.
The three separated from the hug and his mom let out a groan, "Chenle, don't bully your brother or I will make it three weeks."
"Wow campus like is treating you well...you're so...tall?" Chenle said quicky, not wanting his punishment to be any longer than it already was.
The woman scowled at her youngest son but waved him off, turning back towards Lucas and Jungwoo. "How was the ride? Are you hungry?"
"The ride was fine, and we stopped somewhere to eat just a little bit ago." Lucas answered, a small smile resting on his face.
Shaking her head, she sighed again, "So I can't feed you? I never have anybody to cook for anymore because your brother never eats."
Lucas put his arm around the small woman, "You can cook for us all weekend, Jungwoo loves to eat."
Jungwoo opened his mouth to defend himself, but couldn't find any evidence that went against it. He just decided on nodded.
"Great! I love feeding people!" The woman said happily, clapping her hands in front of her. "Do you like to cook, Honey?" She asked Jungwoo.
The boy nodded again. "I like cooking...I'm just not very good at it," He responded sheepishly.
Her face lit up at that answer, "Then I can teach you!"

After awhile of just talking with Lucas's mom, he had no idea how he could've ever been nervous to meet this woman.
"Mom, can I have my boyfriend back?" Lucas pouted as he walked into the dining room where the two were drinking tea together.
She looked up at him and reluctantly nodded, "I guess so..."
A grin spread across Lucas's face before he grabbed Jungwoo's arm and dragged him out of the room. "She really likes you."
"I like her too...and tea," Jungwoo whined, trying to wiggle out of his boyfriend's hold so he could go back.
"But I wanna show you my room."
After making sure they weren't being watched, Jungwoo leaned forward and pecked Lucas's lips, "Ok you big baby, show me your room." Not wanting to waste any time, Lucas grabbed the boys hand and pulled him to his room.
A smile formed on Jungwoo's face as he looked around the small blue room. He immediately ran over to the pictures tacked onto his wall, hoping to see baby Lucas. Although there were not baby pictures, there were a lot of pictures of teenage Lucas with Johnny. "Lucas you look exactly the same—how old were you in this?"
There were a couple seconds of silence while he thought of the answer, "Oh! That was on Johnny's seventeenth birthday so I was sixteen."
"You've known Johnny this long and we didn't meet until this year." Jungwoo deadpanned.
"Well in his defense he—"
"Yukhei how do I get mom to redact my punishment?"
Lucas's face scrunched up as he looked at his brother who just barged into his room. "Redact? You need to restudy your vocabulary words."
The boy let out a whine before throwing himself onto Lucas's bed. "I miss Jisung already!"
Sitting down next to the boy, Lucas pat his brother's head. "What'd you do? Maybe if you do something for mom she'll forgive you."
"Me and Jisung skipped school to have a picnic in the park. She almost didn't find out but I forgot the school calls when you're absent...and she noticed her blanket was missing."
Jungwoo sat down next to them, intrigued by the cutest way of getting in trouble. "Aw who's Jisung? And who are you—I still don't know your name."
"I'm Chenle and Jisung is my...my best friend."
"Jisung is our neighbor and him and Chenle have been friends since they were born basically." Lucas explained. "Although sometimes I wonder if it's more than best friends..."
Chenle's eyes widened before he hit his older brothers arm, "Yukhei!"
"Ok ok, I'll stop teasing you about Jisung. Mom loves him, she'll probably cave in a few days." Lucas said softly, trying to comfort his brother the best he could.
Getting up to look around Lucas's room some more, Jungwoo smiled as the siblings argued about some more nonsense. He looked at the books his boyfriend had then moved to look at the small desk in the corner of the room. Smiling at all of the childish nicknacks, Jungwoo deemed the younger's room as absolutely adorable.
Just as he was about to snoop around some more, a small stack of photos caught his eyes. They were just normal family pictures, some from days at the park or just around the house. He had to bite back a gasp when he took a closer look and saw that half of the picture on top of the stack was scribbled out in sharpie.
He quickly glanced back at his boyfriend and saw that he was still busy talking to his brother. Very discreetly, he picked up the stack and he only grew more confused as he looked through them. Most of them were ripped in half, or specifically somebody was ripped out of all of them. On every single photo a man was scribbled out or just torn away.
"Boys! Come eat!"
Jungwoo almost dropped the pictures at Ms. Wong yelling up the stairs. He quickly turned back towards his boyfriend and covered up the icky feeling with a smile.
✨✨✨
"Ms Chenle's mom! I—I tried to babysit but I don't know h—how to take care of a baby!" A very distressed boy yelled as he walked through the front door without even knocking. His eyes were filled with tears and his cheeks were a bright red, he almost looked as if he had been crying as much as the baby.
Ms Wong rushed over to the boy and took the screaming baby out of his arms and sent him a comforting smile. "Jisung, honey, why would you try to baby sit?"
Jisung sniffled before shrugging. "I—I just wanted money..." he whimpered before walking over to Chenle and forcing himself into the boys arms.
"Chenle, get him to stop crying then feed him."
"Mommy—I don't know how to take care of a baby!" Chenle yelled, panic rising in his tone.
The woman let out a sigh, "I'm talking about Jisung. I'll take care of the baby."
