Owen's POV
Owen: Mom what's going on?
Beca: They know.
Owen: Who knows what?
Ocian: ICE know's we're here illegally.
Owen: How? How do they know?
Beca: Okay Owen honey don't worry, we'll be fine. We need to leave, could you stay at a friend's house.
Owen: Wait mom! I'm coming too!
Beca: You can't. You were born here, I don't want you hidden with us.
Ocian: Beca we need to leave.
Beca: Okay Owen, we'll contact you when it's safe. Even if we aren't here, we're always with you Okay? We will be watching over you even if you don't know it.

That's when I heard a large bang at the door.

Ocian: We love you Owen.

Charlie's POV

It's been 5 months since Owen's parents left. We have no idea where they are but he's been crashing with me.

It's kind of weird all of the people moving in and out of my house.

Ellie's rarely ever around and when she is, she's either silent or pissed off. Ben is who knows where. Yale (my ROCK) comes over basically everyday after school so we can discuss baby business. I think we might turn one of the guest rooms into a nursery.
My mom has almost wrapped her head around Yale being pregnant. I just wish she would try a little harder by actually being here. My dad is always out meeting with the police so he can find Izzy. And if I mean WHEN they find her, she might move in too. I mean we have the space and the resources. Sienna's usually always with Yale but I never see her and she still doesn't know about... I don't want to tell her over the phone.

But this is about Owen. He's in a huge slum and I think I know how to get him out of it. If there's one thing Owen Patrick Joyner could never turn down, it's an excuse to dance. And we're having a party. In honor of Yale being almost 6 months pregnant, we're going to have a baby shower.

I suggest a gender reveal but she said she doesn't want to know until the baby is born. I guess it's a fantasy of her's to hear "it's a girl" or "it's a boy" as soon as the baby comes out. We don't need a gender reveal anyways. It's a girl. I can feel it.

I had just gotten off the phone with Yale when I ran into the living room to tell Owen the news. He was sitting on the couch in sweats with a can of deadly spray cheese and ritz cracker crumbs pilling up in his stubble.

Charlie: Guess what!
Owen: What.
Charlie: Yale and I have decided to throw a baby shower.
Owen: k.
Charlie: And we want you to plan it.
Owen: Arent baby showers for women?
Charlie: Well this is a... family baby shower.
Owen: That doesn't make any sense.
Charlie: Will you get your lazy ass off my couch, you're pressing old gummy worms into the fabric.

I walked over and tried to wipe the gooey substance off the best I could.

Owen: Charlie please don't yell. I think this spray cheese is going to my brain.

He sat down on one of the chairs next to the couch.

Charlie: Owen you've lost your pizzaz!
Owen: Don't say pizzaz..
Charlie: You used to get excited over the smallest little things! Like remember in 8th grade when Annabeth kissed you on the cheek?
Owen: Annabeth Cartie. What ever happened to her?
Charlie: She moved to Saskatchewan. But that's not the point. You ran around screaming to everyone that she kissed you. Owen you told the school nurse even though she was like 190 and deaf. She couldn't even hear you bro. But you told her anyways.
Owen: That was a great moment.
Charlie: So why don't we create some more? What could go wrong?
Owen: Last time we threw a party, you got punched in the face.
Charlie: I also found out I had a daughter.
Owen: At the age of 17...
Charlie: The woman I love is carrying my blood. It doesn't matter how old I am, that will always be the most amazing feeling. No one could ever take that away. Owen, in a few months, you're going to Harvard and I'm going to Columbia. This will be one of the last parties we'll have together for a while.
Owen: You know what? Let's do it!
Charlie: Okay invite everyone! Vinnie, Sienna, Ro-
actually um not her.
Owen: Good call. Have you and Yale called Sienna yet and told her?
Charlie: Um no. Not yet. It's not the kind of news you should hear over the phone. We'll tell her when she gets back.
Owen: What if she doesn't make it in time.
Charlie: I don't want to talk about that.
Owen: Charlie
Charlie: So I was thinking lilac as the color scheme. You know it's soft, happy, calm... you know?
