At The End of The Bridge

"Wait here, I'll go get an umbrella." His best friend Xie Bi'an had told him, and as much as Fan Wujiu wanted to keep his promise of staying under the bridge the water level was rising dangerously. Wujiu knew if he didn't move soon he would get trapped under the bridge, but he waited. He waited for his brother to return, at least for a minute more. The water was at his knees, Wujiu was getting nervous. Would Bi'an hate him if he moved away from the bridge? Would he be mad he didn't keep his promise? Eyeing the water Wujiu scoffed "I'm not staying here to drown." Quickly he moved to stand on the bridge. The rain had gotten heavy, Fan Wujiu was completely soaked. The umbrella his best friend would come with wouldn't do much now, but it beats drowning. Wujiu watched as the water kept rising and rising thinking to himself:" good thing I moved, else I would have been dead by now.."

A few more minutes went by, still there was no sign of Bi'an returning. Had he really just left him like that? No, no he wouldn't. Wujiu would lie if he said he wasn't a bit worried but the worry he had quickly vanished when he heard his names being shouted and saw a white haired man holding an umbrella running towards him "A-JIUUU!!!!! I GOT THE- WOAH" Wujiu stifled a laugh as he watched Bi'an almost fall, but he quickly recovered "I GOT THE UMBRELLA!" Bi'an was in front of him now. "Good job," Wujiu simply said, gaining a smile from Bi'an "thanks, I know. Oh, but why did you move from under the bridge?" He questioned, because he had specifically told him to wait under the bridge "if I stayed under it I would have drowned," Wujiu said as Bi'an opened the umbrella, "hm, I guess so. Didn't think about that." A small silence filled the air between the two, as the raindrops hit the umbrella. It was nice. "Let's continue this another day, and go home for now. You look at bit wet." Bi'an said noticing how soaked Wujiu was. Wujiu turned his head to him and said in a sarcastic tone "oh really? I didn't notice."
