𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐗-𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎 - 𝐂.𝐁 ✔

{ Chapter Seven }

Chloe P.O.V -

The sky was a combination of pink, orange, and yellow as I walked slowly to Dupain-Cheng bakery. I wasn't really in a hurry though. It was only 6, i had plenty of time. I didn't really want to go there right now either. I'd much rather be home. But i had to go, because i told skylar i'd come, and i didn't have her number so i could tell her i didn't want to do this right now, after watching said person who we're visiting, turning into the main hero of paris, A.K.A my worst enemy. 

Finally, when i arrived a the bakery, i was met with the smell of croissants , dougnuts, cookies and so many other things i hadn't eaten in FOREVER. Hmm. I reached into my pocket. I did have some money, so maybe i could make this visit worth it. I spotted Skylar sitting on a bench outside the bakery. She spotted me and ran to me, with an annoyed look on her face. 

"You're late, you idiot. "  She said.

"It took a long time to convince daddikins." I lied.

"Oh sure, whatever. C'mon, let's just get this done with already . "She said. 

The look of surprise on Dupain-Cheng's face was priceless. She was SO surprised to see her worst enemy AND her rival's cousin had teamed up that she dropped a croissant. Fortunately for us, she was the only one in the shop, so we could avoid conflict. 

"Look, Dupain-Cheng, This hurts me as much as it will hurt you," I started , " But we might need to team up. "

"What?" She just stood there in DISBELIEF . "Why would i EVER associate with you after you-"

"Shut it. It's about that Rossi girl. I mean THAT ONE ,  not her " I gestured to Skylar. " Uh, You're one of the only people to not believe her ,and, Unfortunately, i need more backup. To you know, expose her? "

"..."

"Look , are you going to join us, or just stare at us in disbelief?"

"*Sigh*. I can't belive i'm doing this, but i'll join you. Just this once. Never again. And you said you needed backup? Well, i've got lots of people who can help us. "
