The next day was almost the exact same, walking in the woods to avoid reporters, get into work and see everyone freak out about some headline, and go home. My black hair drooped and my green eyes became soulless.

When I got home that day I was greeted by my dog, Sabbath. He started jumping and barking happily.

"Hey little bean! How you doing"

He barked in response. I smiled. I felt my hair ascending and my eyes felt like the had a soul. Coming home was the best part of my day.

I got up and walked to the couch, as I sat down I got a phone notification from my friend Farah.

"Hey, I haven't seen you in a bit, maybe you can come over"

"Sure I guess"

"ERIK!" I screamed "I'M GOING TO A FRIENDS HOUSE"

"Ok"

Once I got there I didn't know what to expect, would she blame me for what's going on? Or something different. But none of that happened. When I entered her house she ran to hug me. I was so confused. But she quickly explained it.

"I cannot believe what you are going through. It sounds absolutely horrible"

"It is horrible"

"Carrie, you need to rest, you deserve it"

"I guess so"

We hung out or a couple hours. We started talking about life and stuff, she was one of the only people who knew my secret.

"I didn't think it would ever come out"

"Well, I guess I said the wrong thing to the wrong person"

"HA"

This continued for a bit until I got home. Erik actually noticed a change in me.

"Babe!"

"Yes?"

"Has anyone ever told you, you look happy every time you come home from work?"

"No actually. Thats weird"

"When you wake up, you look dreadful, but when you get home from work, that smile is contagious"

"Thanks" I said sarcastically

"You're welcome"

The rest of the night was magical. We watched some horror movies with Sabbath cuddling right next to me. I was in a good mood the whole night. When I went to bed, I whispered to him

"I love you"
