On the 15th July 2017, there was an Inkling called Meggy Spletzer and it just a normal day for her, she was training for Turf Wars and Splat-fests, until one day, she was in her squid form swimming in ink and she landed in a tin of orange paint thinking it was ink.
Suddenly, a lid appeared and the tin of paint was tight shut with Meggy inside.
At Peach's Castle...
Peach: Hey Mario, how's your side of the wall going?

Mario: TA-DA.
Peach: *sigh* You know, you're never gonna get a girlfriend.
Mario: Whatever...
Toadsworth: Hmm... Master Mario, we could use more orange paint, could you go fetch some more?
Mario: You get it.
Peach: If you don't get the paint, I'm taking away all of your spaghetti!!!
Mario: Ugh, fine.
At the basement...
Mario: Stupid Princess and Toadsworth forcing me to get some paint...
Mario opened the tin of orange paint, but then, the squid came launching out of tin and paint went flying everywhere.
Meggy: Freedom!!!
Mario: What the hell?!
The squid went in a portal.
Mario: Hey, get back here!!!
Mario followed it.
The portal ended up in Inkopolis.

Mario: A talking squid, am I in Bikini Bottom?
Meggy shoots Mario with her splatter gun.
Mario: Ow...
