Vida's PoV
*few months later*
Papunta kaming tatlo ngayon sa libingan para bisitahin si mommy at daddy. "Ate," tawag sakin ni Snow. "What?" sabi ko na may onting taray. "Sorry pala sa nangyari nung isang araw. H-hindi ko talaga sinasadya yung nangyari. Hindi ko talaga alam anong pumasok sa isip ko nun." Ngayon lang siya, nag-balak mag-sorry? Pfft! "Whatever, as if mababalik mo friendship namin ng lalakeng yon. We're strangers na, you can't do anything about it."
Yes, we broke our friendship. For those 10 years friendship, we were happy, but now it's gone because of a stupid fight. "Yes I can." Huh? Paano naman yun? "Pinapatawa mo ba ako? Pfft! Ridiculous!" Almost bursted out laughing when she said, "Ate, I'm serious. Dead serious." Ano ba 'to? She's too serious in these things! She's only 6! "Masyado kang seryoso sa friendships. Alam mo okay lang yun. Hahanapin at hahanapin nyo naman yun tapos make a deal with him to make our friendship go back as it is, if you want to."
"Ate! Sakto pupunta daw sila kuya dito!" Wait ANO? Fck! "Whatever... I don't care about him and so should you." I said and pointed at her. "I might be young for all these things, pero I learned the best. That's you, ate. I learned from you." she said while pointing at me. "I'm turning 7, ate. Wish you'd come home in Tuguegarao for my birthday." I wish I could but I can't, he'd be there for her birthday, too.
"Oh, by the way, ate. It's July 18, the day after tomorrow." Right.... I just sighed and started walking again. "It doesn't matter anymore, Snow. No one will be there, you're traveling back to Tuguegarao tomorrow." I said with my head down. "It does, Vida. I will be there for you. Whether you like it or not." someone said as I felt a hand on my shoulder. Tumingin ako sa shoulder ko and looked at that person it's... "A-aidan...." I said as I unexpectedly hugged him tight.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm here now." he said assuringly and caressed my back. "Where were you when I needed you!" I said bursting out. "I was there, yet you weren't there for me." his voice cracked. "I'm sorry! Hindi ko sinasadya! Wala ako sa control no'n! I'm so sorry!" pag mamaka-awa ko.
Aidan's PoV
"I'm sorry talaga!" she said as she tightened her hug to me. "I told you it's fine." I said as I caressed her back. I caressed her back 'till she stopped crying. She actually fell asleep in my embrace..... "Kuya!" I heard Snow called me. As my response I just hummed. "The other two ate's are here na."
"We'll be there, gigisingin ko lang ate mo. She fell asleep kase." she nodded and went to Mariana and Chantal. "Hey, Vida. Wake up, you're heavy you know?" I said and chuckled. She just hummed with her eyes closed.
"Hey, Vida, wake up na. Aish.... Hey, gising na... Your best friends are here na. You've been sleeping on my shoulder for more than 30 minutes already..." she stood up immediately. "30 MINUTES?!" Is this how I get treated after magpatahan sa kanya? "More than actually pero I managed."
She looked at me so confused. "You? Managed my heavy body? Pfft!" What's funny, now? "Anong nakakatawa? And isn't your weight just 37 kilograms?" As I remembered, she was just light.
"They said it's still heavy." Huh? Sinong they? "Who is the 'they'?" she was hesitate to answer my question. "Uhm... They as in like students in our school." Hayst the school sucks! I don't know if they know that Vida is the- "Princess!" Who the heck? "Renz! You came!" Renz, huh! "Oh by the way, Aidan. Meet Renzo, Renz for short." Oh, Renzo pala huh!
"Aidan, can you talk to each other first I just have to go to Mariana and Chantal." she said and walked away. "Do you like her?" Renzo asked. "Why would I like her? I have a girlfriend! Didn't Vida tell you? Oh, right. You two just met." I said bragging, but otherwise hating the girlfriend part. "Yeah, new student in your school." As if I care. "Kuya Aidan!" I heard Snow calling me.
"Yes, baby?" Probably loud on the words 'baby'. "Ate is calling you na. Oh and, Renzo, ate said you need to leave, like right now." Pfft, its a good thing that I met tita and tito before they left. Because by then, if I didn't they would've ghosted me in my sleep. "Kuya!" I heard Snow calling me again.
"I'll be there! Just wait for a moment!" I said, then she turned around and went to Vida. "Hey, how are you two? Are you friends again?" I turned back to see Mariana and Chantal. "Probably more-" she didn't let me finish what I was saying when she said, "More than friends?!" Geez, I wonder how my lov-, I-I mean Vida, handle these two.
"I heard na kayo na, Chantal. Is it true?" Someone said behind me. I looked at the back and saw Vida. Inakbayan nya ako and did the same to her. "Looks like bati na sila, Mariana." Chantal said. Mariana smirked and put her hands infront of Chantal, "I won!" Won? Did these two made a bet whether me and Vida- "Ugh! Whatever!" Chantal said and handed ₱500.00.
Sht! 500 pesos?! Damn our friendship must've cost a lot, but if it was me I would've betted a thousand for our friendship. Like seriously. "So, you guys made a bet? Yet, you didn't want me to be in it. Are you guys still my friends? Bro, you guys know how much I wanna win a bet!" She's like this, she wanna be betting on something not even valuable. Except for our friendship.
"Ate Vida," we turned and saw Uno. That is his nickname. "Ya?" Vida said. "How do I say this..... Erm... Your ex is here...." she looks so shocked and went to the other side of me. "YOU HAVE AN EX?!" Mariana and Chantal said in unison. "I forgot about him. He's not in my life, so why would I care for him." She has a point there though.
None of us knew she has an ex. All we know is that she's crushing on a person at our school. "So, how long were you together?" Chantal asked. "Ummmm..... Let's say, we broke up at our first year anniversary because he cheated on me...." Only a year? Pfft! I bet he's here to get Vida back, well I'm not letting that happen because she is min- "ONLY A YEAR?!" the other two said in unison, again.
"It's not a big deal anymore, he's out of my life and that's it. End of discussion." I'd rather talk about it, than letting that piece of sht hurt her. "So that's why I were absent in school for a week, two years ago."
