5 - A Note

Deku's pov

I drift off to sleep.  I didn't dream, or at least I don't remember my dream.

I lie there still with my eyes closed, I have been told that you dream every night and you just can't remember it.  I think it's crazy, just like the saying 'if a tree falls in a forest and there's no one around, does it make a sound'  Of course it does, there's just no record of it.  No witnesses.

No... witnesses...

But say I commit a crime and there's no witnesses.  Then hypothetically I wouldn't be blamed for that crime.  But somehow they do pin it to me.  They know I did it based off of evidence. 

Then the question is how do you get evidence a tree made a noise.  Lack of animals there?  Just them knowing that a tree falling makes a noise?  But then why is it a question if it falls and no ones there, did it make a sound. 

Ugh, these questions are dumb.

I open my eyes and stair up at the sky.  The blue sky scattered with clouds as a breeze swoops through the ally way I was resting in.  I look around and notice a note next to where I was lying, head down by a rock so the wind wouldn't pick it up.

I lift up the rock and grab the note. 

Dear Izuku,

I guess your going by Deku now though, but I will probably still call you Izuku.  Old habits die hard I guess.  Anyway, I'm glad I found you.  I would have never guessed you would be asleep in an alleyway.  I would have visited you in jail but, I wouldn't want to risk anything. 

I mainly wrote this so you know that, next time I see you.  I will kill you.

There was nothing else on the page. It was left blank with no clue as to who it's from. Well, it dose seem like they know me and that this person knew me from before I was known as Deku. hmm, could it be? No. It wouldn't be him. That jerk died... I think he died at least.

Anyway, I cant worry about that now. I crinkle up the note and put it in my pocket. I need to worry about capturing these gosh darn heroes. I also need to keep an eye on Kacchan. If he isn't up to something then there's something definitely wrong with him. Todoroki I'm not as surprised by, but then there's also hawks.

Hes like a pro hero and apparently working for the league. I doubt it. Nobody has a good life then chooses to go to the league. Todoroki's family's already messed up so it wouldn't be too much of a shocker.

Shoot, I need to focus on who I'm going to capture. It needs to be someone easy to get to and wont out up too much of a fight.

I look at the 'targets' shiggy has listed. It's so much more people then last time, and since I only have a week, I want to get someone I know so I don't have to go through the process of tracking.

I lean against a building sorta hidden in a popular crime alleyway. There's a lot of drug deals and other illegal things happening here, mostly at night tho so right now its kinda empty except for the local crime people.

Looking at the list I see practically every UA student in the hero course is on the list. I only need to get one person so this shouldn't be too bad. The thing is tho, UA students are probably in their dorms or at the school. It's kinda rare I see one just walking by.

"Wait, is that Deku?" I hear a girls voice from behind me.

I lift up my hood and start walking away, not wanting to deal with people recognizing me. If someone knows me, it can only lead to something bad. I'm not looking to get captured again.

I keep walking away, picking up my pace as I can still tell that it's two people following me.

I start running trying to get them off my trail. I make sharp turns but they still manage to keep up. I know these streets better then most so I'm just going to lead these fools into a trap.

I climb a building and reach the roof of it, making sure were alone so no one can see me murder these two. I face away from where they will enter from, gripping a knife inside my pocket so it isn't noticeable.

"I swear I saw him climb up here" One of the two say

"If your wrong your doing my homework aizawa sensei assigned." The other says back

Wait, Aizawa. Frick these are two from UA. Probably 1A too. How the heck did I forget their voices already. I turn around fast, knife in hand, pinning Uraraka and Tsu against the railing of the roof. "What in the world are you too following me for?" I say, clearly ticked off at them.

The two jump and with a terrified look start saying the entire story as to what happened.

"Well you see" Uraraka starts, "We heard that you and other members of the league broke out of jail and Bakugou and Todoroki just left without saying a word the same night you all escaped, then Kirishima followed them and word went around that those three are villains now so we've been in the streets looking for them and also other people who broke out hoping we could know what happened." She says in practicality one breath.

"So what I'm hearing is" I say, I can use this situation to my advantage. I just need them to go with me back to the leagues hideout. "All you two want is information?"

"That's right" Tsu says "Please don't kill us deku"

"You two promise not to fight back if I take you to them. And there's no trackers on you or anything like that. I know UA likes to pull those tricks. You wouldn't lie to me"

"There's nothing, no trackers and no tricks. We just want our classmates back." Uraraka says, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Fine, I'll show you to Kirishima, but that's all I can do. I don't know where Todoroki and Kacchan are, and frankly I don't care where they are." I take the knife away and put it and my hands back into my pocket.

We get off the roof and we walk in silence to the ally right outside of where the hideout is. I stop walking and the two I'm with follow suet.

"We can't just walk in. I could have phrased that better. You two cant just walk in. You see, if you do you will both end up killed and I'm guessing you don't want to have a one on one fight with Shigaraki, so I need to tie you too up so it looks like I kidnapped you. If you want to see Kirishima this is the only way you can do it. If not it is literally like you waling into a volcano right when its about to erupt."

They both look at each other as if having a telepathic conversation.

"We'll do it" Uraraka says

"Ok then" I say grabbing the rope from my pocket. I tie their arms behind their backs and lead them inside.

I am so sorry this chapter took so long to get out. Thank you so much to the people that messaged me nicely saying that they wanted a new chapter because only then I realized that it has been an actual month since last updated.

Anyway I have some big plans for this story and I really hope you enjoy where its going because I sure am excited.
