I watch as Milo walks closer to us. My necklace is very hot and begging for him to stay. Milo stops at our desk.
"Switch seats with me." Milo says looking at Vanessa.
"That's no way to ask a lady to move." she says crossing my arms, I giggle at her. Milo looks at me with a smile. I blush softly.
"Please?" he says. Vanessa turns to me with a smirk on her face.
"My dearest best friend Adeline," she starts I roll my eyes "Addie, darling. I'm giving this Milo boy, you know the bad one my seat for this class. I'll see you later." she winks and heads over to his spot in the back room.
I wanted to say something but she was already gone. I sigh. I see Milo slide in Vanessa's seat.
"Hi." he says. I smile at him and look at the teacher talking down the notes.
"Ahh, shy or good-two-shoes?" Milo asks, leaning back on his chair, arms crossed and feet on his desk. The teacher hands out are work and shoots a glare at Milo but says nothing. He picks it up, looks at it and sets it back down. I watch him for a moment and then roll my eyes.
"I'm normal." I mutter to him. Milo turns to look at me and sets his feet on the floor.
"She talks." he says eyes wide with a smile.
"She has a name." I say as I finish the last math question.
"Adeline right? Pretty name for a pretty girl." I feel my heart skip a beat.
"Sure. I guess. But don't call me Addie. Only my best friends can call me that."
"Cut the crap,will you? I know you feel your necklace driving you insane. And I know mine is." I blush at him.
"Please, today's my birthday it can't work that fast." I say rolling my eyes. I lie right threw my teeth. He leans in close his face next to mine, his minty breath on mine.
"Happy birthday Adeline, you've just met your soul mate, Milo Smith. Nice to meet you."
