I CANNOT HEAR THE SEA WITHOUT THINKING OF YOU.

The waves crash together and rumble deep like your cruel laugh. When I grow tired of the golden crops and sunshine, I escape to the seaside and dig my dirty toes in the grains of sand.

No longer. Peace is gone as fast as the way you ruined me.

Was the bliss enough for you?

Was I enough for that sick endeavor?

I think you forget, Poseidon, how your lack of control

(so benign when you twist words like that)

of yours transformed itself into endless sleepless nights for me.

How am I to welcome Persephone home when all I can think about is your hand on my mouth, stopping me from screaming?

And to do such a vile thing as a horse? My favorite animal...

Hate is a strong word but not strong enough for you.

Sea god, remember

the day I

come for you.

Fear will wrap

itself around

your neck like ivory

while I cry in victory.
