Close Enough
It was 6:00 in the evening, the sun was setting with the wind howling in a very tropical breeze. The whole house was in pure silence that people who lives in it can actually hear each other's breathing.
It was full of laughs and raffling earlier, Lea and Aga was playing Uno when Ligaya hushed them down. Not her being the "kill-joy" but they were having too much fun, causing too much rally and noise that Ligaya was fret some of their neighbors might lose their patience and knock on Aga's door, ranting on how immensely loud they were.
"Tumigil na kayo ha." Nanay Ligaya impeded again, full of authority, before heading to the second floor.
Aga and Lea looked at each other, they can't hold it anymore, their laugh burst out, echoing thru the long halls. It was like the wall is already shaking that picture frames are almost falling.
"Isa pa!" Her warning tone was explicitly heard that made the two stopped in an instance.
It was like 2 little kids getting along with each other, or 2 best friends that haven't met for months. Aga is on his leave while Lea, she's very much feeling bored around the house, they both agreed on playing board games since there were a lot stock at the attic.
The weather has not been so good the past few days, people weren't advised to go out with the wind raging to 90kmph. The road was all slippery and would just jeopardize someone who's not used of going out with that kind of wind hitting their body.
The doorbell then perpetrated sending shock all over their bodies. Aga stood up to open the gate while Lea is standing at the door, her hands on the edge of it while her face is resting over her hands.
"Oh? Nanay Arcy, what brought you here po?" He politely asked the old woman who was holding a wet umbrella, confused because it was already getting late and there she was, settling on the guest opening of the house. Is she here to scold them as what Nanay Ligaya said?
"Good evening iho. Nakakahiya man, pero kasi kailangan ko makipagkita doon sa lawyer nina Antonio para daw doon sa mana ni Arie, pede ko ba siya maiwan muna diyan?" Nanay Arcy asked, Aga looked at the little girl who's looking at him with her doll eyes, snuggled in a pink rain coat.
"Oo naman po, let's go Arie? You're ate Lea would be glad to see you. Take care, lola!" His arms stretched same with his hands, Arie grabbed it and looked at her grandmother first while cutely waving her hands.
"Babye Lola! Take care po!" She bid her good bye and followed Aga inside the house, Lea's face lightened when she saw Arie with Aga, her hands flop as her voice shouts in glee.
"Arieeee!" Excitingly calling Arie, Lea ran towards their direction and hugged her tight.
"Ate Lea! 1 week po tayo di nagkita, I missed you ate!" The kid matched the same voice intensity, giving the latter a very happy look that her smile reached to her eyes.
"Tara sa loob? I'll let you two talk with each other," They didn't need to hear the question again, the two prompt the way, landing their butts on the sofa.
"Good evening po Nanay!" Arie greeted and did mano to Lea's mother when she saw her passing by.
"Good evening din anak, parang ang saya mo ata ngayon ah?"
"Hihi, na-miss ko lang po si ate Lea." Arie answered and ran back towards Lea, throwing herself to her.
"She already loves Lea." Aga said to the old woman, Nanay Ligaya chuckled with his statement.
