Chapter 2: Foster monster and a distant Christian

Danileigh couldn't stop tapping her feet against the cold tiles, thank goodness she chose to wear a pair of her favorite flats Lexi had begged her to at least wear the pumps buried deep in her closet, it wasn't a fair fight but at least danileigh won

She couldn't help but feel anxious, sweaty and scared, she kept meeting Christian's eyes by her side. he gave her a tight smile and she noticed it didn't quite reach his eyes, she bit her lower lip

"Did he know already"

Ofcourse that's absurd as nobody knew of her tiny secret, not even her best friend. She could feel the bile rise in her throat as she swallowed hard, her confidence and determination ran and hid behind the bushes, she knew she was too early in to have morning sickness and it's just because she is anxious

Taking a deep breath she tried to calm her racing heart and the felt the bile going down, the principal better fucking hurry with this diplomas or she is leaving with or without it

Danileigh couldn't bring herself to feel joyful as the ceremony rounded up, everyone around her seemed to be happy except her. She quickly scanned the crowd of people walking towards her as she fought her way through to find her foster parents, they stood at the entrance of the school with this son Noel and the kind social worker that took care of Danileigh ever since her mum got arrested

"Danii"

The social worker quickly locked her in a hug, something she needed right now but ofcourse for a different reason, she pulled back and stared at danileigh worriedly

"Are you okay?"

Danileigh took a deep breath, that question so simple yet so complex at the same time

"I'm good just a little tired but I'll be fine"

She plastered one of that fake ass smile but by the look on the social workeri face she didn't believe danileigh one bit but decided to let it slide

"Congratulations dani darling"

Mel cooed more like shriek, the fake enthusiasm was as clear as the sky, Danileigh rolled her eyes and snort ofcourse it's all a show camdon and Mel don't give two fucks about her or what happens in her life, they are only in cause of the cool cash it came with and barely acknowledge Danileigh as part of the family...

Not that she is complaining tho, at least they weren't abusive and made it crystal clear they wanted nothing to do with danileigh after she turns 18. The big stash of cash will stop coming in and they'll prolly find another foster child to milk at least their son Noel was nice enough just unfortunate to have greedy parents

The look on Mel's face reminded Danileigh what will come if she didn't play along, fuck shit she ain't going to allow any one go through this oh she is going to do this her way alright!

"Mel!"  She shriek with equal fake ass enthusiasm "I'm glad you guys could make it!"

At this point danileigh was smiling so wildly any one walking by will be seriously freaked out by her smile and prolly think she's finally nuts but she didn't care, Mel could take her fake concern and shove it up her uptight ass

"Ohhh don't be silly Dani, you know we'll always be there for you"

Then Mel winked at her, she could feel the bile coming back up, she turned to the social worker fast

"Excuse me, I need to find my friend"

She gave them a tight smile and walked away before any of them could stop her, she wasn't looking for Lexi at the moment, rather she was looking for a Sandy brown haired guy with  forest green eyes and a sexy drop pants grin but instead she was attacked by a dark haired girl called her best friend

"Where the fuck have you been?! I've been looking for your sorry ass all over school!"

Oh she was looking for her alright! Danileigh could use a good laugh right  now but her current state didn't let her

"Hey have you seen Christian around? I can't seem to find him anywhere"

Danileigh asked instead of calling out her friends physical look

" Saw his rich ass get into some fancy porshe immediately after the ceremony, he didn't even hang with Derek and Cole"

Danileigh bit her lips as she began to think of the past few months , Christian haven't been himself lately only dropping in for finals and partying harder than he ever did before, most times during their date nights he seem lost in his own world making the dinner awkward. That's why danileigh had agreed to fuck him cause maybe she thought maybe he could come back to her but it only worked a little. Did he want a break up?

Lexi could see something was biting her friends head off so she linked her elbow with danileigh and walked towards her beat up Camry

"We are going to gory for some booze and a bite then we head back to my apartment and talk shit about what's biting your ass"

Danileigh didn't say a word as she walked with Lexi, obviously Lexi knew she didn't drink with or without the pregnancy. She bit her lips at least She'll get somethings off her chest tonight..
