NEW EYES

Sweet Diana
with her curly black hair,
she’s at the bookstore again.
She always seems to be there.
Another book on cosmic consciousness.
Sweet Diana
in her room at home,
she tries a new technique
and then her mind explodes.
Now she sees things a little differently.
Above her eyes
a new vantage point,
a new opening,
a new way to see.
A colorful aura radiates beyond her door.
In steps Patty
with her ponytail.
She looks and shrieks,
“Diana are you feeling well?”
There seems to be a cut
right above your eyes.
Sweet Diana
looks at Patty.
Patty comes a little
closer and she says,
“Diana, what I thought was a cut
seems to be an eye,
right there in your forehead!”
“What are you going to do,
Diana?
You can’t go out
on the street like that!”
Diana looks at Patty,
and she concentrates
on her forehead
and then
Patty discovers
her own third eye!
Diana and Patty
see so clearly now.
They know just what do to,
and they know just how.
“Hey this is fun!”
they laugh and then
Diana and Patty
they walk out the door.
They go onto the street
and they see Mrs. Betty Moore,
who says,
“Girls what are those strange
things on your forehead?”
Sweet Diana
and Ponytail Patty,
they concentrate
on Mrs. Betty Moore,
who opens up her own
third eye in her forehead.
“Wow!”, she says,
“This is quite a thrill!
It’s just the thing to do
and I know everyone will
want to have a third eye,
just like Diana and Patty
and me!
Hey Mr. Clark,
you’ve gotta try this!
Hey Robby Hornsby,
come over here!
Hey everybody,
come on!”
Now this goes on and on
day after day.
Third eye fashion
seems here to stay.
Everyone’s got
cosmic consciousness.
Sweet Diana
from her cosmic bliss,
she says, “I’ve got a hunch
there’s even more than this.”
So it looks like we’re gonna
go another round,
With sweet Diana
with her curly black hair
Akashic Records again
She always seems to be there
Another impression
on realization.
